Helm had his turn, now it's Leino's. He's a healthy scratch on Saturday. The lines they practiced with: Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Cleary-Zetterberg-Williams Draper-Helm-Eaves May-Abdelkader-Maltby (Leino working in) The defense stays the same: Lidstrom-Kronwall Stuart-Rafalski Ericsson-Lebda Meech-Lilja (scratched) Osgood (starting) Howard

The Wings better win tonight. I'm actually staying up for it even though I have to wake up at 5am tomorrow morning. Let's go Red Wings!

I've got to say, it was a fun weekend to watch the Griffins, especially this evening. Tardif getting the hat trick was awesome...and he was playing with the flu! Kindl had a strong game tonight as did Piche. I was hoping to see more out of Tatar because he played well on Friday, but I thought he was a bit invisible tonight. It will be interesting to see what they decide to do with him. I hope they keep him in Grand Rapids because I think it would be a good challenge for him (and he seems up for it!) but if he's not going to get good minutes, then yes, send him down. Larsson looked really good tonight. I thought he seemed a bit shaky on Friday, especially in the beginning, but he was a beast tonight. Go Griffins!

I unfortunately haven't found any free streams, but I usually listen to the radio broadcast online (which you can get to through griffinshockey.com). Not nearly as enjoyable as watching, but at least it's something!

Looks as though Leino had a stellar game: 1 goal and 3 assists

I was happy to hear that also! Hopefully he recovers fast It sounds like Joakim Andersson is having a pretty stellar night...great to hear! A road trip is a wonderful idea! If I wasn't so busy with school, I would do the same without hesitation!

http://www.mlive.com/griffins/index.ssf/20...ffins_vill.html GRAND RAPIDS -- Grand Rapids Griffins forward Ville Leino was recalled by the parent club Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday morning. Leino was called up as a precautionary measure after Dan Cleary was injured in practice Tuesday. Cleary is listed as day-to-day, and his Game 1 status will be determined after Thursday's morning skate. So there's a chance Leino still could play in the Griffins' first-round series at Hamilton. Leino appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Red Wings this season, and had five goals and four assists. In 57 games with the Griffins, Leino had 15 goals and 31 assists.

I completely agree!

As much as I would like to see Leino playing with the Wings in the playoffs, with Draper out already, I really think Cleary has a big role. Hopefully he'll be alright, and Ville can come play with us once the Griffins are done!
