No, you are not alone. I hate the Ducks and my god, I hate Pronger. My husband, who isn't even a huge hockey fan, hates Pronger. Pittsburgh is a non-entity to me and I don't respect them at all.
Red Wings are still the best team in the NHL! I'ld rather have a conference champion team on its 18th playoff birth (best in ALL of sports history) than a team who only got as far as they did because of 1st and 2nd round draft picks after 12 years of sucking hard! (Wings willl bring back Stanley next year!)

Let's be fair though, in the 3rd period, the Pens had no desire to play offense. They were on a PK for 20 minutes. That's why the period looked so lopsided.
I just don't get what was up with us not getting to the pucks. Maybe we'll find out we had a ton of serious injuries. It's the only thing I can think of. But, in all fairness, we had the same problem against the Ducks, the Hawks, and the Pens....
I thought the Wings were streaky all season. They would play great, then fall apart for a couple of games. It was maddening. I just did a quick search and we lost five straight in January '09. There may be more, but I didn't look.
I still hate Sydney Crosby. Bleah. At least the NHL now has their golden boy with the cup. He was in every NHL commercial anyway.
