i really hate it when fans of certain teams bring up the "we've won more cups then you" argument because it really doesnt have anything to do with the game being played currently.
and the wings do deserve to play on the same rink as the blackhawks. Since they are both NHL teams am i not right? NHL teams deserve to play on other NHL teams rinks am i not right? or am i missing something ?
whats wrong with your figure now?
its not about your appearance that should matter its all about whats on the inside.
i miss the old Hockey Night in Canada Theme (so canadian of me)
i miss when arenas were just simple names and not named after companies. (i,e maple leaf gardens, montreal forum, civic arena, philadelphia spectrum, la memorial coliseum etc...
i miss seeing gretzky lemieux, yzerman, howe, (just to name a few) on the ice.
i miss when hockey wasnt run by someone that begins with ary and ends with ettman.
The 31-year-old, who has no points in four games for Toronto this season, has a modified no-trade clause. He is in the fourth season of a five-year, $22.5 million contract, with an annual cap hit of $4.5 million.
Komisarek commented on the difficulty of watching games from the press box.
"You want to play, you want to contribute, that's the biggest thing. You don't want to be a passenger," explained Komisarek. "You want to be helping the team out and I can just worry about what I can control and that's come to the rink and keep a positive attitude and sure as well got to be ready if an opportunity comes when and where that it is who knows.
what do you think?
possibility of him in the D? would you like it..dislike it?
oh man. wings lost big and that was a heartbreaker. but nothing like ending the night on a good note. CBC does a thing called After Hours where they interview someone from their late game,( pending on whos playing ). Tonight it was Vancouver vs Anaheim (nucks lost 7-3) but tonight they are interviewing Teemu Selanne. He is one of my Absolute Favourite players of all time, very classy guy. when i lived in winnipeg in the early-mid 90s, i went to a couple Jets games and he was just brilliant! I will really be sad the day he does decide to hang them up. The NHL will truly lose another amazing player to ever lace them up. Maybe when he retires he can become an actor like in this.
i was gonna post this in another thread but i decided to make a new one
being an NHL Fan in general i am filled with excitement and joy right now. these playoffs have been nothing short of spectacular. every single playoff match is exciting and fun to watch. but mainly due to seeing certain teams playing well and really giving their fans something to cheer aboot. (ottawa, florida, phoenix, la, nashville). it would be good for the NHL if these teams made it beyond the 2nd round. why? cause it would bring spark to their franchises, and who knows maybe draw more fans. i say this because my Grandmother never watched hockey before 1998. never saw a game in her life. not living too far from DC she started watching the caps and the cup run they had. and even though they came up short against you know who.. , she still is a fan to this day.
and i know theres the whole ratings issue with tv. well in my opinion screw ratings. i think seeing these teams compete on national television would interest people and then they would say " wow i didnt know this team would get this far" or " jesus murphy this team is really good". this is why i love the NHL Playoffs. it gives teams you didnt think would make it past the first round the chance to shine, and bring out the best in them.
so my questions for you are : which of these 5 teams do you think can make a strong playoff run? and would you watch a Florida vs Phoenix or Ottawa vs Nashville Stanley Cup Final?
i know i will be. not just because i love the NHL, but also just because i can and you cant stop me
