#2623246 Number One Center vs. Number One Defenseman

Offense wins games. Defense wins championships

#2603467 Are you going to watch the game ?

I got my own beer league game to play. Can't miss that. Atleast the reffing is consistent even if it's horrendous.

#2602623 Carcillo speaks out on Montador's death and mental health issues

Posted by Aznknight on 28 April 2015 - 09:45 AM

This is how emergency personnel, military, etc go through, as well with PTSD.
It's almost as if you sacrifice everything you have and there's no appreciation at the end of it.

As much as everyone hates Carcillo as a hockey player, you can't deny his taking responsibility now for future players.

It's commendable. Great job Carcillo, if you ever read this.

Man, it's hockey. If Lukes out, someone else has to step up. Simple as that.

Everyone should during the playoffs.

Wings win 11-10.
Third line gets half the goals and Andy gets a hatty.
Mrazek sets an odd record where he never let in a single goal. All 10 of TB goals were own goals by the Wings during delayed penalties.

Sure I'll take that concussion or broken bone or some other lifelong debilitating injury so Joe blow can be extremely happy...for 5 seconds.

Speed and defense wins games. If you want to watch goons, watch wrestling.

#2584322 Helmer's baby is as fast as his daddy

Posted by Aznknight on 24 March 2015 - 03:02 PM

Detroit Red Wings forward Darren Helm is one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, but his lightning-quick speed wasn't enough on Monday when his girlfriend Devon gave birth in the backseat of the couple's car.

The baby, now named Rylee, was born on the I-96 midway to the hospital, which was a big surprise to Helm, according to The Detroit News.

"After the game I was in bed around 10:30 or 11, pretty tired after the game (Sunday), and she kind of woke me up and said things were happening real fast. It came on so quick. We thought we'd have some time to get to the hospital," remembered Helm.

"The baby was ready to come out and say hello, and that's what she did."

Helm has 13 goals and 16 assists for a Red Wings squad that currently sits third in the Atlantic Division with 89 points.

#2538612 Datsyuk to play Thursday? Weiss to be a healthy scratch?

Posted by Aznknight on 06 October 2014 - 05:49 PM

This is Babs showing Kenny that he's put the money in the wrong places. 10million in cap space as healthy scratches on the first game of the season?

It's a big f u to Kenny

#2516541 ECQF - Game 5 - Red Wings at Bruins - 3:00 PM EST

Posted by Aznknight on 26 April 2014 - 03:13 PM

Boston has a Vezina nominee (probably winner) goalie. A Hart, Selke nominee (probably winner) two way forward in Bergeron. A stacked team.

We have an injured goalie, captain, young team and a Franzen.

We were not going to win this series.

#2512701 ECQF Game 2 GDT : Red Wings 1 at Bruins 4 - Series tied 1-1

Posted by Aznknight on 20 April 2014 - 04:51 PM

We stole home ice. Good enough. It's either 1-1 or 2-0 after tonight. We lost but really it's tied. We're underdogs and any goal and game for this Griffins team is already a win. Today was a wash so I hope the kids learn from it and stick to their plan.
i'll say it again. Wings will stand a chance in winning the series if all three are met:
-howard stands on his head
-datsyuk plays like datsyuk
-the team sticks to babcock's plan...which is designed for 1-1 skill games, not 4-1 face wash, after the whistle action fest
