No he is not getting exposed. What we are watching now is a team that REALLY wants to win and get to that next level. The team we all saw from our Wings team, was someone just trying to get ready for a long summer. The Coyotes are showing Detroit the WILL to win. We had loose pucks in front of the net with them, but no one wanted to crash the net. I am rooting for the Coyotes to win because they are working hard in all aspects of the game. They aren't a great team, just a hard working team with a really good Goalie right now.

You have to give the Bruin fans some credit, they gave a thanks to there team even though they just lost game 7 at home. Our fans probably would have boed our team. I was rooting for the Bruins to win the cup again, have to like original 6 team, plus Thomas is from Flint.

Can't trade the best NHL player out there on Dats. Zetterberg played most of this past season hurt and no one knew it till later in the season. Franzen I agree with, its sad when he says he dosen't like to play in the regular season because its "too boring", but then he hasn't shown up the past 2 years for the playoffs. I do belive we DO need to get younger NOW. After watching this past season and the 4 playoff games, we are really slow on defense and ofense (besides Helm).

Cheechoo would be nice but it would have to be around $2-$2.5 mil. I think if he played with Zett it would be good, then stick Franzen with Dats. I could see him getting alot of energy knowing he has a chance at a cup and playing with a team he wants to be on (if we wants to come to Detroit).

Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. So because chicago won the cup they get an extra 2 million to pay out for possible more talented people in the free market, giving them a lot better chance at winning the cup again the next year. It also means teams like florida, toronto, islanders who are getting good draft picks won't be able to make the finals due to a lower salary. Time for this topic gets thrown in the trash.

Also, Jimmy Howard will never be a franchise goaltender and this season was probably just some "miracle season" for him. He will never be better than Ozzie was.

I totally agree with you, since we might lose lidstrom this season, I wonder what the price tag on Halak would be?

I would have said Howard was the biggest reason the game went from 3-2 Wings to 4-3 Sharks...

Both of the last two goals were weak goals that were directly his fault.

1) He came out of the crease to stop a shot as the Sharks were crashing the net, and dropped to the ice while giving up a rebound that the other team quickly acquires. Now he's outside the crease and unable to get back into position quickly while the puck is in possession of the opposing team. He doesn't, of course, end up getting back in net before the puck crosses the line.

2) He moved to the edge of the crease along the goal line stop a shot off the wing and rather than directing the rebound back to the corner or absorbing the shot, he put the rebound into the slot where there were two Sharks forwards. Empty net, goal.

You can make excuses, but those two goals were Howard's fault and nobody else's. This is simply following an unnerving trend where Howard has allowed 3-5 goals in almost every game he's played so far, with at least two of those goals being goals he is directly responsible for.

I TOTALLY agree with you, how can we win a game when the goalie gives up weak goals and an average of 4 in those losses. Horrible, I wonder when babs will finally wake up and put ozzie in net?

Pretty sad he was 20' out of the net for the tying goal, looks like a fish out of water playing out there. I blame babs for sitting ozzie to long and howard for not making 1 decent save tonight. and of course the phantom calls against the wings.

what do you mean "HE" is keeping "US" in the game?" Where in the hell was he when he gave up goal #3? can't stop a puck if your 20' out of the net and looking like a fish out of water. He is horrible, I can't think of 1 play today where I said "That was a hell of a save".

My confidence in the Wings being the better team extends only as far as a game 1 loss.

Why don't you wake up and watch those goals again, every goal he gave up a mite player could have stopped. I guess your a "big" man cause you can swear like a big man on the internet. You just don't want to know the truth that howard is NOT a playoff goalie and we are using him like one. If shane doan was in the last series we would have lost in 6 games.

We are NOT going very far in these playoffs with Howie, I've felt this way since he was the #1 goalie. We need Ozzie in net or we are golfing for a very long season. How can you give up 3 "F"ing goals in 1:19?

Howard is giving up goals every where, can he stop anything? How long do we stay woth a goalie giving up 4 goals a game in the playoffs and think we can even move to the next round. I am still sticking with Ozzie, we need him in, he knows what it takes.
