A strong start for Hudler, and Mursak a few weeks away... How much does he have to do to make him a valuable trading commodity?
EDIT: Alright I am done, there is no reason for a negative 12 for simply making a placeholder for the conversation we always have.
It was done so every other thread doesn't turn into it.
So go ahead delete it whatever. I don't care, I don't much care for online hate.
Got like plus three for running a draft thread that took my entire evening and get a negative 12 for a post to try and keep other threads clean. I am sick of anonymous internet hate.

This right here. This is awful, in my opinion. Give him a 4 minute penalty, 2 games for this is way overboard. I don't think it was reckless by Bouchard, I think they were just jostling and chopping at each other and Calvert's stick lift made Bouchard hit him up high unintentionally.
Should not have been suspended at all. That was way to much.
And as far as the Foote one...thats another one that shouldn't be if that were today. Foote was going for the stick and missed.

Just because Moore won't let it go doesn't mean the fans can't either.
We'd boo Claudia from here to eternity. These fans have a DUTY to boo Big Bert.

Side note: these folks are very rightfully booing 'Tuzzi.

So was Shanahan. You don't produce, you don't play. There would be a healthly market for Bert with other teams (not great...but healthy enough to get rid of him fairly easily if needed). These young kids for us are going to keep these vets looking over their shoulders...which I think is a great thing for our team. Competition breeds success. Bert, Eaves, Miller, Commodore, Hudler, even Homer...these guys better bring night-in and night-out or they could be sent packing (minus Homer, who'd they'd figure out a classy way for him to finish the year and then make it clear that they have no intention of keeping him. Followed by highly encouraging him to retire and they'll make a big hoopla out of it with off-season Presser and job offer in our European system).
When did Shanahan not produce? When has Bert not produced? And when have the Wings played musical chairs with their players via trades and waivers? Do you think this would be a good idea? Why do you think the organization doesn't do it? Do you notice that the team never signs players who are lazy or have bad attitudes? Why do you think this is?
EDIT: btw...just to clarify...Shanny's offer from the Wings was way below market value at the time and was viewed by most as an indication that the Wings would have liked Shanny back...but only if they could get him at a big time discount. I've read interviews that Shanny and his camp took this as a signal that Wings management was moving on.
Umm no. $4m was fair market value at the time, given that the salary cap was roughly $42m. Shanahan took the exact same salary contract from the Rangers. He left because he felt that he identified more with the older generation of Red Wings than with the new.

No, he made $1.5 in 09-10 and salary cap wise is currently at $1.9 for last year and this year.
Bert had to step up in 09-10 with all the injuries but he didn't take over.
Bert basically carried the team in December - January. I don't know which games you were watching.
