We just had Wings GM on the IC Hockey Show on TSN Radio 1290 in Winnipeg.
He spoke about:The increase in scoring coming out of this seasons lockout. The similarities of the retirements of Yzerman and Lidstrom and how they effected the team. How the recently retired Tomas Holmstrom was such an effective player. Taking the time to fully develop a player. The evolution of Mike Babcock as a coach. Lengthening overtime. Playing games outside of their own time zone.
My guess is that none of the vets will be doing it and it'll be all the young guys like Abby, Kindl, Eaves, Miller, and Helm

Nice to see the various Detroit team's supporting each other. When I was at the Wings/Oilers game on the 11th, Suh was in attendance.
I decided to do a drive down sans ticket to see the Lions/Patriots game today. While I was out front waiting to see if I could buy one, I noticed this guy walking past me and I thought to myself "that guy looks like Henrik Zetterberg". And as he passed me by I realized it was him. As well as Brad Stuart and Ruslan Salei.
When Z went to Will Call to get their tickets I told Stuart that I was enjoying the Wings season. He thanked me while Salei gave me a blank Belarusian stare.
Unrelated to the above I ended up randomly meeting a fellow Canadian who works as a Scout in the N. (which was good times as we discussed hockey throughout the game). Long story short we bought 2 tickets from these drunks who couldn't get into Ford Field. Ended up being on the 35 yard line, 7th row.
Brett Sutter: Oh hey dad, just got to Abbotsford, what's up.
Darryl Sutter: Hey son, you and your 1st cousin Brandon are pretty close huh.
Brett Sutter: ya dad we sure are.
Darryl Sutter: we'll you're going to be spending some more time with him. we've just traded you to Carolina.
Brett Sutter: thanks dad.
Good times at the Joe tonight. It felt like I was watching an NHL team battle an AHL or Junior team. The Wings outclassed the Oilers and I was surprised that Edmonton managed as many shots as they did.
About only time Oilers were in the game was during the pre-skate;
Ndamukong Suh popped into the Joe for 2 periods. See if he would learn to stay till the end of the game, perhaps the Lions would learn to win in regulation....
Best Oiler tonight was this guy doing his best Blue Man impression;
