  1. It's why Crosby outplayed and outclassed Ovechkin in the 2nd round this year in the playoffs when the Pens overcame a 2-0 deficit without home-ice and won a game 7 on the road in Washington. Correct me if Im wrong Snazzy but wasnt there another team that was down 2-0 without home-ice that lost a deciding Game 7 at home in a place where an opposing team had never skated with the cup?? Who was that other team that the Penguins did that too in the playoffs this year do you remember??

I meant no city has ever won a Stanley Cup Championship and a Super Bowl Championship in the same year. Pittsburgh is the first city to ever accomplish this. Yes the Pats and Sox did win in the same year but it's much easier to win in baseball then it is in hockey or football because there is no salary cap. And as we all know the Red Sox have the 2nd or 3rd highest payroll next to the Yankees. So when your payroll is 120 million like the Red Sox was you should be able to win World Series because other teams in baseball cant match that. Where as in hockey and football there is a cap and more parody and things are more evenly matched and it's harder to win.

Im speaking of no team has ever won a Stanley Cup Championship and a Super Bowl Championship in the history of Professional sports until this season like the Penguins and Steelers did which is very very tough to do nowadays in sports with the salary cap and what not.

Maybe the reporter should have told Kris Draper when he first brought this up after the Wings lost that if you're pissed about Crosby and the handshakes then you shouldnt have gagged and choked away a Game 7 on your home-ice and maybe Crosby would have been waiting for you guys like he did last season in Game 6 instead of the other way around. Beating the Red Wings at home for the Cup in a Game 7 when there was no way in the world on this board before Friday last week that any Wings fan thought the Wings would lose that game makes this all the more sweeter. Safe to say at the moment the "City of Champions > "Hockeytown".
  5. He outplayed Osgood in Games 6 and 7 and made big saves late in both of those games. See the saves on Cleary in Game 6 and Lidstrom in the winding seconds of Game 7 remember those?? If you say otherwise you either didnt watch the same games I did or you're in denial and a complete idiot...
  6. ******* boring team that beat you in Game 7 on your home-ice when the Wings had two chances to close it out up 3-2 and gagged it... I thought having Datsyuk back and having the two 3 day layoffs between games 6 and 7 it was a mortal lock for the Wings to win?? Because as we know no opposing team has EVER and I mean EVER skated with the Cup at the Joe. Well guess what?? They have now and you were looking at them Friday night. You're right about one thing the Caps would be a much better series for you guys because it's easy to beat a team like the Caps that has no defense and suspect goaltending something the Penguins dont have. What happened to the Wings winning this series in 5 Snazzy?? I'd love to have a rubber match because the Penguins and their fans today during the awesome parade today in our great city are drinking the finest champagne of all after last season and it's called Sweet Revenge!!!

Yea Lidstrom should retire is what he should do. Obviously he didnt play well enough as Mr Defense like everybody claims him to be otherwise the Wings would have won the series. It still goes back to what I said about Hossa. I said at the start of the series if he went goaless this series the Wings would not beat the Pens. And sure enough....

Dont you mean you're turning yourself into a troll and not your?? Obviously not an English major are we?? Keep whining about Crosby and this handshake thing if it makes you sleep better at night since you have nothing else. The whole thing is completely ridiculous...

Like I said it's just sour grapes and one more thing for all the Crosby haters to ***** and complain about cause they got nothing better to come up with. Where is Claude Lemieux again maybe he can take Draper and ram his face into the boards like he did in the mid 90's and put that big knot on Draper's cheekbone if he wants to keep pissing and moaning about this like a little *****...

So tell people to quit crying about it and get over it...I swear people will look for anything to complain about and it looks like this is it. If you want to sit there and think Crosby didnt shake the Wings players hands that's fine. It still wont change the fact that the Pens bitched slapped the Wings in the last 2 games of this series when the Wings had a 3-2 series lead and all the momentum and took the cup right from them in their own barn.

Draper should be more worried about his horrible play in the series when he was installed back in the lineup instead of worrying about who's hand Crosby didnt shake. It was a stupid decision by Babcock to take out Abdelkader especially after he scored two goals in the first 2 games and replace him with a washed up and injured Draper. It was Babcock's decision to turn Zetterberg into a checking line center with Datsyuk out. It was his decision during the entire playoffs to not trust his roster and voerplay his big 4 on defense and his top 2 lines. Obviously Pens fans will put Hossa on the list but doing so ignores how badly Datsyuk played this entire post season. Sure he could be given a pass in The Final cause he was playing with a broken foot. However, before that he was nothing more than a defensive forward. That's not good enough for a Hart Trophy finalist. Brad Stuart and Niklas Kronwall. how many times do they have to turn the puck over before they understood you just can't do that? I'd put Kris Draper on there as well except he's a big reason why the Pens are Champions right now.

Crosby shook Ovechkin's hand after the Pens eliminated the Caps. If he shook Ovie's hand, he would be happy to shake ANYONE'S hand. He said today in an interview that the idea of him not wanting to shake an opposing players hand is ridiculous. He said it's the easiest thing to do. The bottom line here is let it go and STFU about it.

    "Crosby Sucks" chant!

What's the matter never thought the almighty Wings could lose two games in a row and lose a game 7 at home like I just mentioned above?? Like I said the Pens losing Game 5 5-0 was the best thing that could have happened to them. It got them refocused on the task at hand and I really believe it gave the Wings a false sense of comfort level thinking that there was no way they could lose 2 games in a row let alone a game 7 at home. Like the Wings players did and a lot of Wings fans on this board did as well they overlooked and underestimated the heart, determination and character of this Pens team and just how bad they wanted to stick it to Detroit for last season...
  14. I mentioned this before the game, that I was actually more confident just by listening to the interviews of the players and coaches from both teams. On the Wings side everyone, including coaches, were just saying how much fun this is and they have never been in a game 7 so they are really enjoying it , etc. One reporter asked Zetterberg if having a home game can be a distraction because of tickets, etc...and he said well no you gotta have fun with it. Same with Babcock, Osgood, and so on. They were all talking about how much fun they were having. And the Pens you had something totally different. They didn't talk about the fact they are in a game 7 so they are appreciating it and having fun, they talked about what it was going to take to win..but they knew they could lose..and that was the difference. Wings didn't see losing as an option. It was already a lock. And after the game was proof where the Pens minds were. They weren't prepared to celebrate, had no idea how to when it happened. Crosby was late getting over to shaking the Wings hands, he was caught up with celebrating with some of his teammates, so to do that wasn't on his mind. And none of the Pens skated around with the cup lol...they handed it off to each other and skated about 10 feet and back. So believe me, this team couldn't have been more prepared. And we can all thank Bylsma for that. Im sorry but there is no way we win with another coach. I know that's just speculation and we don't know if others could make this team better too, but he was the perfect fit. The guy has won championships his whole life, writing books about it, and was so upset about losing in the Finals as a player that every time a team won a championship in any sport, he would turn it off right before the celebration because he couldn't watch, that is how much it bothered him he said. So there is no way he was going to lose this game, and same with the players. They came to win, not enjoy the fact they are in a game 7. I am still in shock, and so are the people here in Detroit lol

That 5-0 ass kicking a week ago yesterday I believe was the best thing that could have happened to the Penguins. I say that because it got the Pens more focused and gave the Red Wings even though they will never come out and admit a false sense of security. You cant tell me that the Wings got Datsyuk back in Game 5 and blew the Pens out in Detroit that they didnt let the thought creep in their heads that this series is over and that the Pens had no chance of winning 2 in a row especially a game 7 in Detroit. If anything like I said it made the Pens more focused especially Fleury, and it made the Wings I think a little bit complacent... In the end, the Wings have nobody to blame but themselves. Even fans came on here and thought with the combination of Datsyuk back in the lineup and there being 2 3 day layoffs in between games 6 and 7 that there was no ******* way the Wings would lose 2 games. Well guess what they thought wrong. And a lot of the Wings fans on this board underestimated the character and the heart of this Penguins team.
