#2154227 200 posts for Game 4 victory

Posted by Zion on 20 April 2011 - 09:46 AM

We need 400 posts for a victory, but can't mention the SW word? Hmm...

... I would like to mention that it would be outstanding to be the first team to advance to the next round.

At least there is no Jason Williams in the lineup to get headshotted by Raffi Torres.

It'd be good for travel, but bad if they let their kids skate circles around them. Ericsson and Rafalski, especially.

Dats and (especially) Zetterberg are just absolute machines in the playoffs, and I think Toews and Kane would be as shell-shocked as they were in '09.

Oh, and Helm, FTW.

Nashville Predators = Howard Wolowitz

Ovechkin OBLITERATED by a Datsyukian hit after Pavel makes a Datsyukian deke around Mike Green, where Ovechkin is clearly charging Dats, lining him up.

Pavel then DESTROYS Alexander Semin with a Datsyukian fight, in which Pavel simply trades punches with Semin, Probert-style. Semin, fighting the way he fights, only lands hammerfists to Dats' shoulder pads... none of which fazes Pavel, who then skates to the penalty box, signaling his championship belt around his waist.

Draper, Helm and Lidstrom all score on short-handed breakaways...

... the Rangers go 0-for-1 on the power play.

3-1 Wings. Puck is behind the Red Wings' net. The battle for the puck tips the net forward, and the puck slides under the back of the net. Without a review, and no explanation, the goal counts.

#2107891 Jordin Tootoo in rehab

If I were visiting another hockey board and found a Red Wings discussion about a Detroit player with a problem, followed by some of these posts, I'd figure I were at a St. Louis Blues forum.

Shameful some of the things said here. No one hates Jordin Tootoo the player more than this guy, but I wish him nothing less than a speedy and full recovery. This is just hockey, people.

Kunitz will slew-foot Franzen
Cooke will sucker-punch Kronwall from behind
Letang will jump Hudler
Lidstrom scores a pair, 2-1 Wings win

The Pistons do not deserve to bump Detroit to FS+ for any reason whatsoever.

Truthiness at its finest...

Yeah, "Get Ready For This" and "Hey Hey Hockeytown" for the goal songs. Everything else can go away.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the disgrace of this club music. I work for the American Forces Network, and our radio shows are LITTERED with this crap. I'm afraid to go into the studio(s) to work on something, in fear of walking into "P-P-P-Poker Face, P-P-Po-ker Face".

Just. Awful.

I actually like (or LIKED) that I could watch a game on the NHL Network's Classic Series, and hear the familiar tunes from the early HockeyTown days(~1995, to be exact) until today. Tradition.

If Lady Gaga is the direction we're headed...

#2059521 Why is St. Louis doing so good?

Posted by Zion on 08 November 2010 - 01:43 AM

I think that St. Louis is doing so WELL because they've sucked for so long, they have acquired some great talent.

I'll say it again: what pissed me off more than the 10 crosschecks to Z's back was the fact that it was Jimmyf****** Howard who went after Crosby. Kronwall also had a clear shot after they'd been separated and didn't so much as look in the same direction as Crosby, let alone say anything (God forbid!)... just terrible.

Paging Pavel Kocur...

This made ESPN, so you know it's important.

Crosby needs to get the f*** beaten out of him, but no one on the Wings can do it, so I'm rooting for Carcillo to jump him like he jumps his opponents.
