It is not somewhat getting raged after lose the 3 goal lead game. Since the injureis of this team has significantly harassed the team, I could understand why the Wings could not play any good at the beginning of the season. However, although Kronwall, Ericsson, and others came back from injuries, the Wings showed not a big improvement.
This season, our offenses are not producing and defenses are just making turn overs. Howard has not been great lately but considering how he has done so far in this season, I am satisified with him except for his awful rebound control.
Now, next tuesday, Franzen is coming back. Some guys look to think as Franzen comes back, the Wings will be flying the sky. I would say these people should re-think of the game. Franzen is not somewhat Ovechkin who can change the whole game. Sure, he can give Babcock more opportunities to make line combos and different stragedies but because he comes back, the Wings are not going to do any big different unless they change their whole game.
I hope the return of Franzen will boost this team but I do not see any bright change in the team although he comes back.
p.s)Thank you for reading and sry for my terrible English.

Our Defense issue
27 November 2009 - 10:47 PM
To start, I did not watch the game so I do not know how our D has performed tonight but here is a thing. Since late 80s and 90s and till 2008 when we won the cup, strong defenses were the reasons the Wings could reach such a high level every season. Some journalists called this team would not do well every year but our D bailed ur out.
However, I am really starting to feel scary of our defenses. Be honest, since the start of the last season, I think our D is not even close to the high level of the NHL. Well, some teams like Coyotes always perform bad so they are the exceptions but compared to high rank teams, I think our D is far behind from their level.
I think the destruction of our D has started since Rafalski has come to this team. Be honest, from my view, he is better in last year than this year. This guy takes 6 milllion salary but he does not even play to the level of 4 million D. Besides, as Kronwall and Stuart looked to play far better than the last year, Kronwall just got injured. Now, who is the pair of Stuart?
If we see the name value of our D, it looks like a strong defense. On the other hand, as I watch the Wings game more and more, I really cannot feel any confidence in our D as before. When people with even many Wings fans thought the Wings would do bad in 06-07 season, our offenses were not that strong but our D could keep us in the game. Now what? Lost all the FA during the summer off season and doing horrible now even with consideration of the injuries. Just got out skated every time, slow, and wondering during the PK.
Any thought?

Yearbook Comment to leave

I am in grade 12 in Vancouver and graduate this year. I wonder whether people here do remeber what their yearbook comments were. Be honest, my English is not fluent so I hope I can get some help.
Thank you

Our best players do not play like best players
24 October 2009 - 10:36 PM
Now, another loss to Avalanche. I am not being paniced or being a bandwagon with the terrible start but here is a thing.
Since the start of the last season, our PK and terrible defenses have been weak issues. I thought it would be fixed as the time passed but it was not. Now, it is the new season but nothing done with that.
Get worse, our best players do not play like best players in other teams' best players do. Everyone says Zetterberg's points went down because he minds to play two way style. That may be true but he does not look as great as in 07-08 season. Besides, Rafalski's defensive weakness look worse than the last season and Franzen is out, Holmstrom is already old. Datsyuk is the only guy who looks to play like the team's best player since the last season.
The numerical value of salary cap usually says how important the player is for the team. Be honest, even though Zetterberg looked to get a discount, I am really disappointed at his play from the last season to present. Rafalski, 6 million D on the chart, plays bad D for so many games..
I am not somewhat bashing the players but as we saw last season, time is moving more quickly than we think.
Sorry if you guys do not understand my English due to a foreigner but I think this issue is the main reason why the Wings play really bad over terrible PK and D.

1000

Milestone has reached 1000 points finally. It is nearly impossible for defenses to score over 1000 points throughout the career.
