#2186656 No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Posted by 13dangledangle on 17 June 2011 - 11:23 PM

Big part's of me feel that Jagr just has had such a bad attitude, like with the Rangers he publicly gave up before actually being defeated. I hate that. Then there is the other side that thinks with Pavs or Hank he could be huge....but I still hope we get a little younger scoring help opposed to older...

With the luck this guy has seen the last couple years Id have to pass. The only veteran I want to see the Wings sign is Lidstrom.

...."alongside Datsyuk"...

Well according to posts Ive seen, the key in signing players is to play alongside Datsyuk?? No s*** players put up good numbers playing with him, maybe he will center two lines this year.

I cant believe it! Such great news for the game of hockey. This gives me hope that they will create a new, fantastic re-alignmen. One where ALL teams play each other the same number of games...fingers crossed!

Really, REALLY hate vancouver but love Boston! Not sure how this series is going to pan out, but if feb. 26. 2011 is any indication Ill be a happy man!

PS-The NHL's schedule isf****** retarded and the fact great teams dont play sustains it.

#2179700 Will Nicklas Lidstrom Retire?

Posted by 13dangledangle on 25 May 2011 - 04:55 PM

"Hello, Steve?"
"Hey Kenny."
"Sorry to bother you but I need advice on managing a team to a Stanley Cup."
"Oh, well I can see why you'd call me then. I learned everything I know from this guy who managed his team to 3 cups in 5 years!"
"Thanks Mr. Yzerman, I really appreciate it."

Now thats funny!

...And no I dont think Lids will retire, not if he gets to pick Weber again :yowza:

#2179138 Vote for Datsyuk!

Posted by 13dangledangle on 24 May 2011 - 03:34 PM

Eberle certainly gets the nod here. That was, as they said when he scored it, the goal of the year. I love this kid, fell in love with him as many other canadian hockey fans at the juniors when they lost to the states. Eberle had the whole team on his back and will be a great leader for the oilers future as well. The thing that sets Pav apart is that move is equaled at least six other times in that sixty minute game. X number of games he played that season ;)

#2176435 Interesting article about possible changes

Posted by 13dangledangle on 17 May 2011 - 09:31 AM

Personally, I'm surprised it was that much. I wouldn't think he should get more than $1.5M. Although as I thought about it more and more I bet you if this contract was actually offered it was similar to the Filppula deal (5 years, $10M) where Ericsson would grow into the deal. So I bet it was yr 1 $1.5M, yr 2 $1.75M, yr 3 $2M, yr 4 $2.25M, and yr 5$ 2.5M or something like that. I could see Holland doing that and banking on Ericsson reaching his potential. I would have been cool with Ericsson back at $1.5 for a year or two and been a little uneasy (but trusted the signing) about the type of contract I listed above but I've always felt Ericsson could reach his potential here but at this rate now I'd finally be ok with him going (if in fact that happens).

That's actually some what possible. ALthough I think I'd rather Bieksa. But I like the idea.

Bieksa may be a little out of reach after this run is done. Though it wouldve been nice.

#2175685 Modano

Posted by 13dangledangle on 14 May 2011 - 09:45 PM

Sorry if this has been covered already but I'm really confused as to why he was a healthy scratch 9 out of 11 games? It just doesn't make sence to me at all, Abby or Miller both could/should have been benched for Modano. He's just a different kind of player, goals were what we needed and Mo never had a chance to prove he was worthy. Is this Babcocks "American" dislike we have heard about? I just find some of the choices Babs made this year questionable is all.
