#2302163 Red Wings make offer to Damien Brunner

Posted by 13dangledangle on 19 May 2012 - 12:17 AM

Hopefully this isnt a case of brunnstrom or modano. I see him going somewhere lesd crowded to better his career and boost his stock.

I still feel Brunnstrom did not get the shot he should have this past year.  I think he could have been a great part of the Wings after Eaves went down.

Anyone who wants Semin at anything more than 4mil is nuts. He would instantly make this year's Franzen look like a super gritty workaholic.  There's a reason why Washington was happy to see him go.  Why would we want his drama when he only produced 4 more pts than Hudler with way more ice time and more than twice the cap hit?  In a cap world he's not worth the risk.  If he was willing to take a real salary cut things might be different but the KHL will throw tons of cash at him.  He's got significantly more skill than Radulov so one would assume he'd dominate a league that was ruled by Rad.

.

:hysterical:    LMAO no one can make Franzen look like that...However my point is I would rather have Semin @ 4 then Hudler @ 4.

#2301546 Fedorov To Retire

Good for Sergei, i think he will actually do somewhat well as a gm.  He always had such an eye for how the game was played he could Im sure he'll assemble a good crew.  Best of luck Feds

#2301544 Kronwalled at the Worlds!

Posted by 13dangledangle on 15 May 2012 - 06:14 PM

What's the point of that hit? Sweden's winning easily. Latvia has no chances to advance further. No necessity to swing momentum here. I just don't get it.

He's Kronwall and is just letting people remember that he is indeed there to play.  Thanks for posting op.

#2299936 #4 Nashville Predators vs. #3 Phoenix Coyotes

Posted by 13dangledangle on 07 May 2012 - 11:40 PM

These playoffs are just full of surprises aren't they.  Congrats to Phoenix on one hell of a shocker!

*Edit: Though it is nice to see Rinne does indeed have kinks in his armor...

I see it for sure!

#2299689 #8 Los Angeles Kings vs. #2 St. Louis Blues

Posted by 13dangledangle on 06 May 2012 - 07:50 PM

The kings are friggin' my s*** up right now, good to see, for the talent involved on the Ice as well as off.  I hope the forge on the way they have been so far...But Im shocked the Blues went out like that with the second half they had.

#2299408 25 Games for Torres

Posted by 13dangledangle on 04 May 2012 - 11:54 PM

You aren't?  Guy hits him late, around the head, leaps into him.  Oh, right, Couture didn't end up in the hospital.

At first I was with you on this, but in your video you see Neal really let up last minute and try to avoid contact thus showing respect for his fellow NHL'er...Not the case at all with Torres, he wanted to f*** Hossa up, the same way he did with his other sixty-three infractions this season.

How many games is this hit worth?

Are you seriously comparing these two hits?

#2299163 25 Games for Torres

Posted by 13dangledangle on 04 May 2012 - 07:54 AM

It's obviously because of his 5 similar hit history, he certainly deserves 25 games.  The guy knows how the league is really cracking down on head hits this year and he still gets suspended 3 different times for real bad head hits?  Torres is a moron, much like anyone still bitching about Weber.

#2298665 Habs reportedly to buy out Scott Gomez's contact

Posted by 13dangledangle on 02 May 2012 - 08:42 AM

Also reported on TSN990

He's through the ridiculous part of it but no shocker really with 10 mill left on it over two years.  Crazy he's made so much money.
*edit- In the ballpark of 60 Million earned and 169 goals...ouch

#2295573 Legwand hides puck in game 4

Posted by 13dangledangle on 21 April 2012 - 11:49 PM

The sad thing is that it's the biggest moment of Legwand's very average 15 year career.

I can't help but think Legwand is going to add a few more tick's to his achievement list before Nashville's run is done this spring, should top off his "very average" career thus far.

Uhh 95% of "cagey veteran moves" are cheating.

80% of people will tell you that 85% of the time that's true.

#2295048 Have we seen the last of Holmstrom?

Posted by 13dangledangle on 21 April 2012 - 07:50 AM

Like everyone around here I love the Holmstrom, has been a force and revolutionized how his position was played forever.   Thank you for the many, many memories!

#2295033 Babs calls out Kenny, sort of!

Posted by 13dangledangle on 21 April 2012 - 07:25 AM

Our 4 lines as a whole didnt play well, Z and Dats played well.  Flip played well most of the time and Miller was ok too.  The rest of the team was so so, I still dont know why Emmerton, Holmstrom and Cleary kept playing with (in my mind at least) some better options in GR.  Will we keep Emmerton here for the next two years?   I would have taken Tatar, Andersson, Sheahan, Brunnstrom or Mursak instead of the above three mentioned.  Kenny should be a busy man this summer.  After a couple rounds of golf that is...
