For God's sake, Hudler is a worm. he trained with UFC fighters, he is bad as it gets. you can't let scum like huddler play in this league after he spends his summer hanging out with UFC maniacs, smashing skulls and bruising women. Finally the truth comes out on this dirt bag.

Chicago fans were not positive when they were down 3-0. They didn't get positive until they won game 5. Sorry.

The fact that we are down 3-0 to the same team back to back years is just ridiculous. This team needs some tuning. Not rebuilding, but tuning.

Okay to think this team is gonna be on top year in and year out is crazy. The team has a cycle of good players in and out every year, this year may not be that year. doesnt mean over half of this fan base on here needs to starts PMSing that the team needs to get torn apart and moved to Alaska... *sarcasm*

Go re-read other hockey forum boards dated when Chicago was down 3-0. Im sure you would be surprised that they weren`t all happy and confident they would come back.

I'm sorry for the mistake, point being made though, were just as bad as Chicago fans then? anyways still a game four left. I live and die for my Wings so I'll be there losing my voice just like in game three. I'm just surprised we have so many bandwagon fans....

You are making a big mistake in assuming this board is full of Wings fans. Let me give you a hint, there are very few true Wings fans on this board. We have more bandwagon fans that have enjoyed the last 20 years of playoffs and success. So when the Wings have a rough patch or lose in the playoffs, the debbie downers all come out in droves. When we were going through that horrible injury and losing streak last season, I had a fleeting thought that it might be good if the Wings had a down season. All the bandwagon fans would leave and jump on another team's bus. This happened back in Tampa Bay. A few years after they won the cup was the best time to be a Lightning fan. The bandwagoners all left, and the stands were only half full but they were full with real fans.

Detroit has a lot of great true fans of the team. I just tire of the bandwagon fans whining, bitching, calling out to fire coaches, management, and players. Stand behind your team for a change. Be respectful in losing and winning. It really is that simple.

Yes, that is what I am saying. Hell you know if we win a game or two and make this something, All these people are gonna shut it. You know I believe in karma, and with all this bad mojo being said by everyone, no wonder the bounces havnt gone our way... maybe if our lot of fans actually had a positive thought in their souls the wings would get a good bounce this round.

for all people requesting for a clearing of the house... you know game 4 is friday... right? like they actually still have hockey to play for.. every chicago fan i know last round was staying positive till the very end, and they were one goal away from doing it too. come on people, lets be real fans here and cheer them till the end. you know if something happens and theyre playing in a game 7 next thursday, youre all gonna be cheering your lungs out. so before you start your bitching about how the team blows, theyre unmotivated, howard sucks, flip stinks, franzens lazy, hollands mental, or babcocks stupid.... keep the pride up and look forward to another game. one game at a time, this is the most exciting time of the year and were spoiled enough to enjoy it year in and year out. lets root for them one game at a time and just pray a bounce or two goes our way. hockey is a mysterious game... anyways game 4 is friday. GO WINGS

#2151630 Throwing an octopus at the Joe no longer allowed

Posted by redwingcapt on 17 April 2011 - 07:54 PM

anyone GOING TO GAME ONE ROUND 2 with like a spare 10-12 bucks, head down to Superior Fish Market in Royal Oak MI and go buy an octopus. These guys are the people you go to to get the octopus. Good people and theyre the "official" supplier of Detroit Red Wings octopi. Thats when we should do it right after the national anthem. thatll fire up the WINGS and get the crowd going big time. im an every game day thrower of the octopi so its really bugging me. im gonna be going to pick up another batch of octopi over the next week, so if anyone knows theyre going to game one round 2 and theyre interested in throwing with me, PM me or email me and we can work something out if you want me to pick you up an octopus.

any wings "fan" who says pack it in or says they give up isnt really a fan...? We all know anything can happen in the playoffs. so please dont throw in the towel now, if you are. DONT watch a single second of the playoffs, and if they get swept in the first round, you all can throw your party, but till that happens. STFU :ranting:

#2134477 The Wings flipped the "switch"

Posted by redwingcapt on 22 March 2011 - 10:29 AM

Even though the Red Wings lost last night in the shootout, i think that the Wings flipped the switch after Zetterberg scored the first goal. I was in attendance last night verse the Pens, and after they scored their forth goal to make it seemingly a blow out, the place went quiet, you could only hear the packs of Pens fans cheers in the whole place. I think the Wings fans had too much pride to boo their team in front of the Pens... anyways, after the Pens went up 4-0 and Z scored the first goal, the place didnt get too loud, and the cheers that were made were more sarcastic cheers, ie saying, "a little too late boys". And i think the team sensed that, and they went into the locker room and something happened. When they came out, they flew and didnt let the big hits from the opposition stop them, they skated through the hits, they moved the puck beautifully, and got three goals to tie the game, against a weak, but VERY confident looking Penguins team. Even though Jimmy looked weak, two of the four were NOT his fault in my eye... I think this is it, what we saw at the end of the game is what we are going to see up till and through the playoffs for the most part. The wings started playing playoff hockey last night, when Cleary and Modano scored back to back in two minutes, the Joe got louder than it got all season long! I would have guessed it was a playoff game if the fire had came out of the big screen. This is it boys, the run for the Cup began last night, we play Vancover once, Nashvile once, and Chicago THREE times in our last 9 games. Western Conference rivals in more than half of our remaining games, 6 of 9 are at home. the RUN begins HERE! GO WINGS :siren: :siren:

I just wanna know if anybody else feels the same?

#2110608 Versus fires 29 people

Posted by redwingcapt on 05 February 2011 - 06:58 PM

kind of a reason why to go back to ESPN!! theyre cutting the staff for the NHL's only national US coverage. shows how much the corporate bosses at NBC care about the NHL. i dont think the quality is going to be any better cause they lose employees. i bet it will be worse if anything... just a shame.

whens the contract between the nhl and NBC/versus expire?

That's weird, I thought we were posting on a hockey forum... turns out it's a high school essay?

yeah but if you want people to try to read your post, and make your statement clear, please have the self respect to make it half way readable. That was atrocious. How many more seconds would have it taken to type "and" instead of "n"?

#2049436 Kenneth Rucker, a.k.a. "Orange Hat Guy", passed away

Posted by redwingcapt on 19 October 2010 - 11:02 PM

A moment of silence on Thursday would be most appropriate.

i just told my friend the same thing. we are going to the game together so i would hope for one. He was there for 30+ years, through good times and bad.

they should sell orange hats with the winger wheel on them.
