#2283926 Shea Weber fined for Zetterberg "headslam"

Posted by matt198913 on 12 April 2012 - 08:57 PM

26 minutes of even strength play, goals scored mostly after a power play for one team or the other. 4th line guys and definitely 2 insane bounces. I'm willing to bet if the next game is mostly 5on5 Wings will win by more than a goal.

I lost a lot of respect for Webber last night. Not only the hulk hogan turnbuckle action, but the complete embellishment with Franzen in the first period was weak.

Tough jersey choice tonight: autographed away Filp, home Lidstrom, or WC Datsyuk?  I'm feelin the Lidstrom, but maybe I should keep it for Game 3.

I'm going with an old school Dino jersey that belonged to my dad

I actually really like Detroit in 6.

I like the Yotes. Very hot goalie in Smith. Chicago is pretty darn shaky on those 3rd and 4th lines. Give me Yotes in 7

If Fil doesn't fan on that, the PP produces

#2265314 Brad Stuart's family issues

Maybe he is just using it as a negotiation ploy like lidstrom did.

Negotiating ploy? Nick's a 43 year old man who wants to see his kids grow up. He can't play captain forever, eventually he has to play dad and husband.

What is the obsession with fighting? I like it when it's appropriate, but this kids a world class talent. Everything I've heard about him is that he's a potential franchise D men. He can score and take care of himself. There's no need to go looking for trouble though. Plays like Stuart and has a Kronwallian shot. Either way I'm excited to see him up, reminds me of when they brought E up a few years back.

#2195993 Forward lines next season?

Posted by matt198913 on 03 July 2011 - 10:35 PM

I like this from Kenny. He did a good job at addressing our biggest need Defense. Money left to acquire a pretty good name at the trade deadline if needed. Wings have to stay healthy and I still think they will move Hudler for a bag of pucks. Lets be honest one of the biggest years in free agency will be next year.

Currently scheduled for free agency next year include names like Patrick Sharp, Brad Stuart, Nick Kronwall, Ales Hemsky, Dustin Penner, Drew Doughty, Ryan Sutter, SHEA WEBBER, Pekka Rinne, ZACH PARISE, Keith Yandle, Bret Burns, Steven Stamkos, Mikeal Grabovski, Mikel Samuelsson, Alex Semin, Karl Alzner, Zach Bogosian.

The point is there are a lot of big names next year on the market. The Wings are saving money because one of these names will be signed by the wings next off season. So just relax for now and enjoy the season. We still have the best Defenseman in hockey and two of the best forwards. We will be fine maybe even win the division.

I see Kronwall being the number one next year even if Lidstrom returns.

Lets be honest he's been playing out of his mind in this series. Is he the future goalie of this franchise? Obviously
