So because European tenders are selected instead of Canadian ones they are making a rule basically forcing teams to pick Canadian ones even though they might not be as good or as qualified as the European tenders? Smells like Affirmative Action and Diversity laws here in the states. Two thumbs down CHL.
It's actually much worse than affirmative action cause at least that is put in place to help struggling people make money to help them live. This is a sport that is fully based on who is more skilled, and the most skilled get to play. This rule is disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves. Beyond ridiculous
Obviously this is beyond amazing news! Pavel is such a unique and special player. Can't wait to watch him hoist the cup a few more times before he hangs em up. One day #13 will be hanging in the rafters right next to #5 #19 #9 #12 #10 #7 #1
It's nice going into a series with absolutely no pressure. Whereas playing the Ducks there was a lot of pressure considering how well we played them during the season. And heck, most of the experts picked Detroit in 6 against the Ducks as well. But this series almost everyone is picking Chicago (and truly I don't blame them). Especially with the way Crawford always plays against us. But at this point the only thing that could really bum me out is if we get swept. Otherwise no matter how this series goes us Wings fans have to be proud of what this team did, in spite of everything we went through this year.
And on top of it all, we still have quite a few million dollars to spend this offseason, so we're surely going to be even better next season! The future is extremely bright for the Wings. I definitely see our playoff streak continuing for many more years to come
Cleary haters might get there wish if there's no room for him at the end of the season.... Very much depending on how much are young guys are worth of course
Got my fingers crossed, that's for sure. He's completely worthless these days. At least before he was a pretty speedy winger. Now he literally brings nothing to the table. He loses puck battles 99% of the time, isn't physical, rarely scores, yet he plays on our 2nd line while Jordan Tootoo is a healthy scratch??? Completely mind blowing logic right there. I pray we move on from him
Wings desperately need Bert back in the lineup. Not only his chemistry with Pavel being so great, but he's also become much better defensively in this later stage of his career, and he almost always nets one in shootout situations. If we're really gonna make a serious run here we def need Bert
Nice! Brian has definitely earned this with his consistent solid defensive play. And I guess putting the puck in the net a few times doesn't hurt either. Now it's time to sign Brunner to a 5-6 year extension!!
Why would they not just ban the account for now then figure the rest out? The dude is STILL posting new threads right this very minute. Amazing how the mods will ban accounts (within minutes) over someone bringing up the detroit pistons, yet this guy posts spam for hours on end and not one mod banned the account... SMH
Montreal's situation is looking more and more desperate. And all signs are now pointing to a Subban trade. Should Kenny be interested here?? Personally, I think it's something that should at least be explored. Especially since both teams are desperate in their own ways. So what do you guys think? And what would you be willing to give up for Subban?
HockeyyInsiderr is a complete and total fraud. He has absolutely zero sources other than s*** he makes up in his own head or things that were already reported on. No one give that douchebag the time of day.
As for Semin, I think it's a must that we sign him
This would be a really solid move for the Wings. Spent almost 2 months of the season down in Florida for work, so I caught quite a few panther games. And all I can say is I was really impressed with what I saw on a nightly basis. He has a pretty hard shot at the point, likes to get involved with the offense, yet seems to be defensively sound. Plus he's young, and presumably we can sign him for a reasonable price.
No, it works a bit different with RFA's. In both cases the teams are able to match the offer, but in the case of restricted agents... if the player signs with the team making the offer the current team gets draft pick compensation. The number and "level" of picks depends on the salary the player signs for. I'll find you a link for the draft compensation for RFA offer sheets.
Ahhhh I see. And yeah I knew either way the player's team can match all offers, actually what I meant to say was I thought the difference between RFA's and UFA's were if the player's current team matches any offers the player can't sign with any other team. But yeah I didn't realize we had to give up picks as well. Waiting till next season looks like the only true option now.
