Bottom line, that was a careless dirty play by Ovechkin. There is no point in trying to defend him.

Everyone says it isnt that bad of a hit, and it is an overreaction. Ovechkin deserved to get kicked out 100%. That hit is as dirty as they come. There was simply no overreaction on that call, Ovechkin got what he deserved. Now the NHL needs to grow the balls to suspend other stars when the need to be.
Such a dangerous, disrespectful play.
He should be suspended, based on his history of these types of hits.

Maybe you should be grateful that you get anything at all, instead of acting like it's your right to have a wallpaper every month. Wallpaper is not important. You're not going to die in the next 4 minutes if you don't have one.

Looks like another "late round gem". I doubt he will ever be as good as Datsyuk or Zetterberg, but the best college hockey player at the moment shouldn't do to bad in the future.

Well, its not much different when you have a spot secured, you just play a little harder than normal. If they have not figured that out they have to be retarded.In their defense, when was the last time the wings were in this position? How many players on the wings even know what it's like to battle for the eighth spot?

McCarty had a reason to fight. Do I have to go over this again? Basically, Lemieux knew McCarty was out there. Lemieux broke Drapers face with a cheap shot. Lemieux did not even have the balls to apologize. Lemieux knew McCarty wanted revenge, he was even running his mouth at him earlier that game. Lemieux saw McCarty skate at him. Lemieux was not new to fighting, he had done it many times before.
