#1932327 Osgood to start Sunday

Posted by cupforwings on 04 April 2010 - 06:01 PM

the only bad goal he let in was the first one. A 4 on 2 is unacceptable and the goalie is not at fault... He played the the shooter, but the shooter had 3 passing options and picked the right one... it is completely unreasonable to blame him for that goal. The second and third goal were left to players all alone in the slot... neither of those were his fault. Blaming Ozzy for this loss is unfair... the team played bad and it cost them.

You must be annoying to know in real life with your ridiculously pessimistic attitude

something about the red, in a playoff game, at the joe looks intimidating

#1921098 Team of destiny?

Posted by cupforwings on 21 March 2010 - 03:06 PM

It will end early in the playoffs anyway if they make it, there just too many meltdowns.. they mix great perfect red wing's hockey with epic meltdowns all over the ice and been doing it all year long.

haha, who would have predicted a comment like this from a poster like you

#1919880 Am I the only one who finds this ridiculous ?

Posted by cupforwings on 20 March 2010 - 05:33 PM

IMO he should play Howard for the fact that he is much more likely to get a win tonight... Ozzy has been screwed this year, no doubt, but at this point experimenting with a very very cold goaltender would most likely backfire... If we would have won last night, I'm sure Babacock would have played Ozzy tonight, but oh well, what's done is done and all the chips are on Howard to get us into the playoffs.

#1917770 NHL's most and least valuable players

Posted by cupforwings on 17 March 2010 - 07:28 PM

Do not agree with Stuart being THE least valuable player in the league... He is a huge reason the wings were able to hang around while our entire team was hurt.. that seems pretty valuable. It looks like this guy is going purely off stats which is an awful way to do this list

#1917284 Hawks talk about possible 1-8 match

Posted by cupforwings on 16 March 2010 - 03:07 PM

pretty funny interview they do not want to face the wings in the first round kane was dancing around the question. Don't toews me bro hate chicago but that is pretty clever toews is a world class player humble player and i respect the s*** out of that.

Agreed. Toews is a world-class player and the Hawks are lucky to have him... if this were a 1-8 or 2-7 match-up, it would be epic

#1916174 Report: Hawks' Campbell Out For Season

Posted by cupforwings on 15 March 2010 - 10:45 AM

Blackhawks in my mind don't deserve to be where they are. Their team was built from good draft picks due to years of failure, not hard work and smart drafting. Chicago, like Washington like Pittsburgh were given good teams. Detroit could of done poorly for a 5 year stretch and landed a few top 5 draft picks, did it the easy way. But they did it through quality management.

oh come on... how can you say they don't deserve to be where they are at... they were a crappy team for a long time, got good players through the draft, and are now one of the best teams in the league... nothing is a given in this league. Sure, it helped to get a lot of top picks, but they still have played hard all season to get where they are at in the standings; you can't take that away from them. What about that 2002 cup team? They signed Hull, Hasek, and Robatille because there was no salary cap. They had the second highest payroll only the the NY rangers. Did they deserve to win that year? Yes. They still had to go out, play the games, and win.

#1913572 Zetterberg needs to step it up

Posted by cupforwings on 11 March 2010 - 12:48 AM

Remember when Z could create on his own? You're talking about him like he's a 2nd line caliber player...

no, its just that when you have Franzen or Datsyuk on your line, it's a little easier to create situations to score... it defiantly looks like something could be wrong health-wise, but it doesn't help when your the only player on your line who can consistently create scoring chances...Williams is always looking for a shot and Cleary is doing whatever it is Cleary does.

#1913564 Wow... this forum feels... awkward

Z doesn't get to play with the best players like Datsyuk does...Homer is better than Cleary and Franzen is way better than Williams... Hank doesn't have a lot to work with... Hopefully, moving Flip there will help him out.
