I am a Cleary fan, even with the knowledge that he must step aside soon for the younger kids. In the meanwhile, he brings veteran presence to the locker room, and intangibles like heart and desire. He's contributing. Bravo, Daniel.

what a great GDT for the guys who love this stuff... it's a work of art, Mikey. This will be my last game until next week to watch, as I am going to visit people who don't like hockey over Thanksgiving. They'll get all pissy if I disappear for three hours to watch the Wings. Worse than being locked up in the Joe Louis bathroom with Pee-air, for sure.
Wings need to win for me, as I am sacrificing watching them for the next two games. LGW!! We shall prevail...

You fail to understand? With all due respect, this is a FOOTBALL COUNTRY. You can put "Hockeytown" in the middle of the ice but people care more about the Lions in this town than they do hockey. And that's just the truth.
I live in Texas. I know all about football freaks, Heaven help me, they're lunatics for football here... and pretend to know nothing of hockey. This, despite the FACT that the current Calder Cup winning team sells out every single game here in Austin. It's all about the money, and which franchise gets the tv dollars flowing, etc.
If I lived in or near Detroit, I would certainly have season tix to the Wings. But I guess having such a great franchise right under their noses makes some locals complacent. Very lucky to live near enough to attend...
Well, when you only score one or two goals a game this is what you get. I think they've looked decent so far this year, but they have GOT to start scoring more. Then we won't have to worry about bulls*** waving off of goals or uncalled penalties or what the f*** ever.
I have been saying for several years, the Wings must score 30% more goals than any other team in order to win a game, since so many of their perfectly good goals are disallowed... and the refs make sure the ice tilts in the direction of whatever team the Wings are playing.
Must find offense, somehow. Jimmy was spectacular tonight... D was adequate. Wings must become over-achievers and soon, if they expect to succeed.
