I love the Fitbit, actually. It's the primary reason this has worked so well. I'm down 42 pounds now, and getting close to the goal -- want to hit the gym and build up muscle mass as the weather starts to cool. (That and adding equipment in the basement.)
The Fitbit + syncing with MyFitnessPal (watch calorie intake) and MapMyFitness is FANTASTIC. Can't recommend it enough. Has made this process tremendously easy.
Hockey withdrawal symptoms have reached a point of catastrophy. To alleviate these symptoms I'm watching the entire 97 cup run and will spend most of September watching the 98 run also.
This got me thinking. If you could name one Wings game that you saw that was in your opinion the greatest game you've ever seen, what would it be?
For me it's game 6 2002 WCF vs the Avalanche because it just demonstrated just how dominant Hasek really was and Roy's gaffe was such a beautiful moment. Even better that it virtually cost the Avs another shot at the cup. I just remember being so elated with joy after seeing us stick it to Colorado. That series and that rivalry had so much passion and intensity and I can still hear Gary Thorne's voice as Shanny put the puck past a showboating Roy.
I think it looks amazing. Hopefully it all comes to fruition. I am so thankful that there are people out there who love the city of Detroit as much as I do and who refuse to give up on trying to make it a better place. I will miss the Joe in all its s***ty glory, and hope they don't tear it down. I'd like to see it repurposed, maybe as the aquarium they had talked about at one time, but I know that's probably a pipe dream.
