And we all thought Howard let in some softies. Wow.

nah, not all of us.

When Mason lets in 4 (and he will) We can all make fun of him, LGW's style.

Deflected off a Wing (abby) and in.

NOT Joey's fault. Jeez....

Welcome to Bizarro World, Red Wings style.

Goaltender Jimmy Howard: Sore right knee, unknown

Forward Pavel Datsyuk: Broken hand, start of February

Forward Danny Cleary: Broken ankle, start of February

Forward Tomas Holmstrom: Broken hand, end of February

Forward Mike Modano: Lacerated wrist, mid-March

Goaltender Chris Osgood: Sports hernia, mid-March

Defenseman Brad Stuart: Broken jaw, mid-March

I have confidence in Joey Mac, always liked the guy, and he will absolutely stand on his head, as best he can. It's the rest of the team I worry about. And Babcock's stare... it's looking a bit brittle lately, so here's hoping he doesn't strain an eyeball.

Let's go, remaining Wings!!! Five more games and then you get a moment to lick your assorted wounds. My poor babies... :(

#2096786 Mike Milbury is at it again

Do they actually pay him for this sort of nonsensical spewage? <_<

#2096341 Red Wings asked NHL not to pick Zetterberg for all star game

Nice to know the league honors something about the Red Wings. I think it's mainly OK for Z not to be there, so Crosby won't have any competition for the limelight, but that's just me. <_<

I am glad he's not going, nor Datsyuk. I wish Nick wasn't, either.

Well, you know where the house is...you should deliver some get well flowers. If you do make sure you tell him it's from all of us.

That's a great idea, Pat!! You're an expert on what flowers are meaningful in which situation. So, what flower goes with "we hope your groin feels better soon!"??

The NHL has to have THE worst officials in any sports organization in this galaxy. THAT'S not GI, but Helm's is, despite being identical?

Weak.

I think the difference is that Budaj was barely touched, whereas Joey Mac was steamrollered. And he's a Wing. So, no penalty. See?

Okay so pull Jimmy. I don't see any pucks going in the other net either.

we're being outshot 11-4. Seems that the wings are not doing much work on either end.

Time for Jimmy to sit, even if it's just for the 2nd. He needs time to calm down and the team needs to refocus.

I agree and so do Mick and Murph. As they said, the skaters should be embarrassed... Jimmy's fine. Just some nights, like this one, no one else shows up for work. Shame on you, Wings... now, WAKE UP!

Couldn't they go out and find Lemieux, drag him in there and beat the s*** out of him again? Just for old times' sake?

And yes, indeedy, I am unreasonably venting. Hasn't been a real good week around here. :P

And it's only Monday! :o

:P

We'd have to drag Mac along, too, to beat his head in, but that would be good fun. Perhaps we can get Mac to beat the living daylights out of Kostopukelos, too. <_<

Wings will want to roll home with a victory. I feel it. Wings 4, Avs less than 1.

Go, Wings!!

#2094506 Stuart out 6-8 weeks with broken jaw

Posted by puckloo39 on 09 January 2011 - 09:14 AM

Kostopoulos is too chicken to show up for an in person hearing, because he knows he was dead wrong and has no defense, here. I hope he's gets 20 games.

While I agree with Titanium that it's TV and all about ratings, etc., TV is a great place to display one's biases and ignorance. Milbury is a total moron. If ANY other player on ANY other team was injured like Stu was by a puke like Kostopoulos, there would be severe consequences. The other guys bring up the mild concussion to "the best player on the planet" as if that's comparable to what happened to Stu. Whatever.

As the other participants pointed out, there is no contrasting viewpoint. The rules are very clear, and video doesn't lie.

But, oh, well. Since it's just a Red Wing who was hit blindside with an elbow, head-shot resulting in a broken jaw, Kostopoulos is the best tough guy since Vladdy? <_<

Did you see Stu's reaction when he was headed down to the locker room. He was so pissed. I would be, too. Get better soon, Stu.

could someone on the Wings please finish, so we can win this?

The Twins do their best work from behind.

I heard that, too.

When I go to http://cbssports.com/nhl to watch the GameCenter for this game, why is Crosby and that molester 'stache of his on the front page? He's not playing. He's injured. He's a non-factor in any Pens game until he comes back. They couldn't have found someone's mug to stick up there?

Pens lost 0-4 to the Wild without Pube-stachio. Perhaps they've forgotten how to play, since they spend all their time on the ice feeding him the puck.
