#2185575 SCF: Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks

The Canuck fans were just razzing the Vezina winner, and hopefully Conn Smythe winner? And I don't mean 7uongo.

Hockey kharma at its finest. Do not open your mouth to trash a better player, if you can't back it up on the ice.

#2183270 Aaron Rome

Horton was hurt, and it's not minor. Even if Rome gets suspended for the playoffs (and I think he should), it doesn't compensate the Bruins for the loss of Horton. Not a good trade-off at all. <_<

as a slightly disinterested party (I like/dislike both teams pretty equally), I see players on both teams being petty, pissy and whiney.

Boston is winning (duh) and this ought to buoy them to another win in game 4.

Do they leave Patty Waaahhh/Luongo out there, or pull him? Eh?

#2182701 Anyone else annoyed with the new Arby's commercial?

Posted by puckloo39 on 05 June 2011 - 09:58 AM

Does anyone actually go there? I haven't been in an Arbys for about 10 years. Or any other fast-food restaurant, for that matter.

I also mute the commercial because of that guy's screechy voice. I thought he was squalling "it's good, good food" - which actually makes more sense than "good mood food," -- unless 1) it's not good, and/or 2) they put Prozac in the salad dressing.

#2168591 WCSF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 4 at Sharks 3

Posted by puckloo39 on 08 May 2011 - 09:19 AM

They can do this. Each game has been decided only by one goal - although I will admit the play on the ice hasn't been that close, aside from first period of game 5 when the Wings took it to them. To paraphrase from an article I read this morning, the Wings "have better hockey" yet to play. So, do it.

Jimmy's the superior goalie, the Wings need to remember that. Take the play to Niemi's net, shoot the puck at him, and you'll win. Stay out of the box, if the officials will allow it -- and just take it one shift at a time.

Let's see a 6 up there on the page, at the end of the day!

Go, Wings -- we believe!!!

If the win count on this site stops at 4, it won't be Jimmy Howard's fault. That is all.

#2162313 300 posts for a game 2 victory.

It is entirely feasible that Sidney Crosby will win the Cup all by himself, as his own team, without actually playing.

He will then refuse to shake hands with himself. :P

Great job on the GDT, HT! As usual... I can't wait for this game. Let's go, Red Wings!

is it tomorrow yet? :hehe:

Well if that's the case, you guys better destroy them

I guess what pisses me off the most is that most of these players are getting millions of dollars to put on a show and they are hosing the fans who spend their hard earned money to see them. For crying out loud, play to win all the time. I wonder how they'd feel if the fans didn't care and there was a half-assed full arena since they are playing half-assed.

I stood by a dad and his 12 year old son at the glass during warm-ups last weekend in Nashville. It was pretty clear they were not wealthy, and they told me that it was the boy's first game in person, his birthday. He was star-struck and almost mute, staring at his heroes.

I thought of them last night, and remembered watching the Wings go down three goals in Nashville -- but then rallying and playing like champions, winning the game in OT. Not that it should have gotten that far, but they came back and played like they know how.

I am disappointed in them not playing with any intent to win in front of their last home crowd this season. The Wings admitted to the press that their heads were not in the game last night. That ought to make them feel shame.

Hope last night was just mailing it in since I know they can play better... but I agree with H-Mom. It's not right to not show up every game. If I turned in a performance like that at my job, I would be on the street.

Of course, I don't have a million dollar contract which says I don't have to perform to expectations, either. Sunday's game is on NBC. It's in the arena of the defending champs who made the Wings look like chumps in their last home game in front of their fans. No one wants the Wings to win, so I expect a loss there, if they don't show up with their heads on straight.

This team can take any contender in round one. If they want to...

love your avatar...

Too bad this game is on BlackHawks Rule TV (Versus). Otherwise it would be on Center Ice and be free, and possibly the Detroit feed.

Please beat these morons, Wings. Please?
