I had seen that was on all day and thought about you Loo.
Realizing that you weren't nearly as special as you thought/hoped you were to someone that meant a lot to you really sucks and hurts. Now that I've said that, I'm going to do my best not to dwell on it anymore.
oh... You are very special to me, Dawn. Even if I am far away, I think of you every day and look forward to your posts here. I know that doesn't help, and it's not a replacement for what you feel you've lost, but I do care.
I thought Tatar was cute, flashing the Winged Wheel. What's wrong with that, unless you're talking to a Pen's fan?
I miss the team having a bit of swagger and style. Yes, winning is wonderful, but so is letting the world know you think being a Wing is special - in an acceptable way, of course. I can't picture any of our guys being obnoxious, but I think it can go too far the other way. They downplay their excellence sometimes in an effort to "not win too big," as Hull used to say.
Good for Tatertots and his first NHL goal. May it be the first of many for the Wings. He is clearly very proud of his alliance with the Wings, which works for me!

Looking back on the Wings' last 10 games, there's one glaring thing about them: 8 of them had the Wings giving 3 or more goals.
Games where the Wings give up 3 goals: 12/27 against COL (W) 12/29 against DAL (W)
Games where the Wings give up 4 goals: 12/17 against CHI (L) 12/19 against DAL (L) 12/22 against VAN (W) 12/23 against STL (L) 12/31 against NYI (L)
Game where the Wings give up 5 goals: 12/13 against LAK (L)
Here's the goalies where they give up 3 or more goals: Howard 12/13 against LAK: 5-0 loss 12/17 against CHI: 1-4 loss 12/22 against VAN: 4-5 win (OT) 12/29 against DAL: 7-3 win 12/31 against NYI: 4-3 loss (OT)
Osgood 12/19 against DAL: 4-3 loss (OT) 12/23 against STL: 4-3 loss 12/27 against COL: 4-3 win (OT)
Last 5 games for both goalies: Howard: 12/17 against CHI: 1-4 L 12/22 against VAN: 4-5 (OT) W 12/26 against MIN: 4-1 W 12/29 against DAL: 7-3 W 12/31 against NYI: 4-3 (OT) L
Osgood: 12/04 against LAK: 2-3 (OT) L 12/11 against NJD: 4-1 W 12/19 against DAL: 4-3 (OT) L 12/23 against STL: 3-4 L 12/27 against COL: 4-3 W
Same number of games where 3 or more goals are scored against the goalies. Guys, don't you think that, maybe, just maybe, the defense isn't doing it's job? It's one thing to say Howie or Ozzie sucks when it's just that one goalie, but that isn't the case.
Again, it looks like the offense is going to have to score 4 or more goals to win games now .
Unless the D steps up, that's probably true. Missing Lilja more than one would have thought, perhaps.
This is not rational, it's factual information. Therefore, it won't make any difference to those who are biased one way or the other re: goalies.
