On October 18, 2009, Waterford, Michigan resident Jonathon Fenlon successfully completed participation in the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon in Detroit. Shortly after the completion of this event, Jon collapsed and passed away at the age of 26.
Jon was a very close friend of mine and it for this reason that I will be holding a benefit in his name on November 14, 2009, to help raise money for his family to cover funeral expenses. As a part of this benefit, I am you and others if they would be willing to donate any Red Wings memorabilia that will be raffled off at the event. To help raise money to cover funral costs. Jon was one of the biggest Wings fans, he was such a fan that his parents knwe the right thing to do was to bury him in his Wings Jersey.
