I seem to remember from earlier today on NHL.com the hawks fans celebrating the fact that the hawks have overcome the WINGS and that we don't deserve to be on the same ice surface. The hawks are now the "Class", the "Standard of the western conference. Eat crow. There goes your "sweep" of the " has beens".
I just feel really relaxed this postseason. It's weird. Maybe it's lowered expectations or just age, I don't know. With the experience being gained by all the youngsters I just feel so much better about the future of the team. Not to say I didn't just explode when they won the first series but I, for some reason, don't feel bad about a possible loss this series. We found out so much about our "over-ripened" prospects and most has been very encouraging. Now, Go Wings, and BEAT THE s*** OUT OF THESE SORRY MOTHERf***ERS!!!"
At least we have Bert for the shootout. Oh. Well there's the Tigers. And Nick Fairley says that the Lions are going to the Superbowl. And Phil Jackson's in town selling some good west coast herb, er, uh, helping the Pistons.
When do our boys excel? When they're cornered with their backs against the wall. This describes the next two games, no elevated heart rate here. LGW!!!
I'm sorry to all the left leaning folks on this board...but I'm sick andf****** tired of the pussification of this game.
NBC can just go and fail as a TV network.
Let's start showing hockey on A&E, at least they show folks shooting guns, fighting alligators and beavers and peeling the skin off of small furry creatures.
Or better yet...the History Channel...they have a show that is 100% sword and axe fighting Scandinavians.
