#2540771 Monthly schedule wallpapers?

Posted by Rick D on 15 October 2014 - 08:50 AM

I always have Matt's Wings calendar on my desktop.  It's as much for my wife as for me because that is the main way she knows what nights not to make plans on.... as I often forget to tell her the Wings are playing.

I make sure and send my fiance gets a copy as well.

That way when she says,

"There's a game tonight too?!?"

I can say,

"There sure is!! Do you need me to send you anothe copy of the schedule?"

#2522087 The Franzen Hate.

Posted by Rick D on 29 May 2014 - 11:02 AM

To debate the value of Franzen is fine, but to come on here and deny that Franzen has anxiety issues that yes he has, Holland has, his teammates, and every writer that covers the RW's all talk about makes you look a little naive or very new to the RW's team. These issues have been going on for years and have been talked about by EVERYONE for years. This is not something new.

There have been talks of him having these issues in the past, but not while he missed time this past season.

Here are a couple articles:

I drove all the way up from Houston to take my Gf to her first game at the Joe.
We got seats right behind the wings penalty box, just in time for Tootoo to come back haha.
Dinner at Fish bones right now, we are so so pumped for this game =)

I have been waiting for so long to see Tootoo, and Helm on the same line. I'm pretty pumped about this.

AdamBombQuist on the PP is going to be awesome too!!

#2443366 Cory Emmerton and Petr Mrazek sent to Grand Rapids

Posted by Rick D on 11 October 2013 - 11:28 AM

Does it feel like they're punishing the wrong player by dropping Alfie to the 3rd & leaving Mule on the 2nd?

Alf hasn't made me scream at the TV yet. Franzen on the other hand...

- I like the way Bert plays with Pav, and i think he has the offensive abilities to hang on a top line still. If hes injured just move Abby up, or plug Sammy in.

- 2nd line looks like a lot of fire power for a 2nd line. Hopefully Franzen steps up, and scores a ton with the new guys this year.

- 3rd line is the same as last year, but we switch Brunner w/ Tatar, and i think tots plays a more agressive/ defensive game then Brunner. This line was pretty good in the playoffs. i think once they get a little time together this group can be a very effective depth scoring threat.

- 4th line is a new version of the grind line. These three guys don't have a ton of scoring touch, but they would get the job done with hard work alone. Not to mention the amount of penalties they would draw. Id really love to see this line happen.

Dekeyser Smith (probably won't happen, but Smith needs a defensive D-man as a partner)

This is the same thing i was thinking. Deke is a solid defensive defenseman, Smith needs someone like this to partner with so he doesnt get caught pinching.

#2434996 What forward is the Red Wings X Factor?

Posted by Rick D on 04 September 2013 - 04:16 PM

Remember in 2011 when Pav was out for a stretch of games. It was for knee surgery i think. We lost a majority of the games when he didn't play. i just don't think the wings win without him.

#2433399 Who do we Unload, reload on before the season starts?

Posted by Rick D on 15 August 2013 - 04:08 PM

The only issue would be finding someone who would make that trade.

Or to make any trade with us at all.

Teams could just sit around, and wait to see who we try to pass through waivers, and then pick up players w/o having to give us anything in return.
