#2395876 Which Teams are Better than the Wings?

Posted by mjtm77 on 04 May 2013 - 05:36 PM

the ducks

#2370042 Damien Brunner

Posted by mjtm77 on 16 March 2013 - 05:12 PM

I agree, been thinking this for a long time now.  Zetterberg and Brunner are better off apart considering they're the two top shooters on the team and there aren't enough pucks to go around for both of them on the same line.

add anotherr puck?

#2368510 We are the Detroit Red Wings and we are making the playoffs

Posted by mjtm77 on 13 March 2013 - 06:28 PM

We won't catch the Blackhawks or Ducks, and the Kings are clearly better than us. How do you figure?

kings are not clearly better then us

Cant believe some d-bag on this site who clams to be a Wings fan wants the Wings to lose and miss the playoffs. :nono:   Says its a good idea so the Wings can get a higher draft pick.  (real insightful, but the draft loto doesnt guarantee anything)  This person must think hes more intelligent then the entire Wings organization.

I for one enjoy the playoff atmosphere at the Joe and look forward catching a few games this year.

Lets get the win tonight!!  GO WINGS GO!!!!!!! :yahoo:

lol all the haters should just go watch another team. I agree with you. Soak it all up well we still dats!!

All the naysayers that decided to fancy on up here and try to knock us back down, SUCK ON THIS:

#2356387 Healthy starters the problem, Not young replacements

Posted by mjtm77 on 16 February 2013 - 01:29 PM

These are my sentiments. Holland needed to go after Suter and Parise with an open checkbook. 9 mil per for both sound ridiculous? Well, we are almost paying 20 mil to a bunch of guys we get little return out of anyways.

Quincey = 3.7 mil
Bertuzzi = 1.75 mil
Sammy = 3 mil
Monster = 1.75 mil
Cleary = 2 mil
Tootoo = 1.8 mil
Colo = 2 mil
Huskins = .75 mil
White = 1.75 mil

Thats 18.5 mil.

Oh you screwed us, Axe. We are over the cap now.

Wrong.

This assumes we could play a sane Ken Holland from the Bertuzzi signing forward.

I trade Filppula, Kronwall, and Franzen for Cory Perry and sign Perry to 9 mil per.

Parise (9) - Dats (6.75) - Perry (9)
Zetterberg (6.25) - Helm (3) - Brunner (2)
Tartar (1) - Andersson (1) - Nyquist (1)
Sheahan (.75) - Emmerton (1) - Ferarro (.75)

Jarnkrok (.75) - Next GR guy (.75)

Suter (9) - Ericsson (3)
Smith (2) - Lashoff (1)
Sproul (.75) - Ouelette (.75)

Huskins (.75)

Mrazek (1)
McCollum (.75)

62 mil.

are you on crack?

#2352114 Stats Thus Far for Suter and Weber

Posted by mjtm77 on 06 February 2013 - 06:24 PM

When you lump dozens of people's opinions together, of course it's going to seem contradictory.

 Fair, but I lumped them together because im talking generally about " letsgowings" .

there are some pretty smart people on here but in the last fews years the "intelligents" of the  board has took a swing for the worst

The dats and zetterberg line will be broken up by game three

#2326996 Most overrated player.

Posted by mjtm77 on 27 August 2012 - 02:18 PM

The Pitsburg Penguins

#2323910 Our current forwards.

Posted by mjtm77 on 05 August 2012 - 05:33 PM

All you need to know about why we suck, is that you have Dan Cleary on the top line.

Hell, it doesn't matter how you slice it, our forward lineup is old on the top 2 lines.

And keep in mind, many of these players have a history of injuries, so depth will be a factor.  I expect to see Nyquist, Tatar and Mursak a lot this season.

That scares me

#2323289 Bottom Six

Posted by mjtm77 on 31 July 2012 - 06:51 PM

What does that have to do with the third line?... If you want to talk about holland than make another hate thread about it and we can have healthy discussions while you get your panties in a bunch

You are correct it does not have to do with the third line, but either do some of your posts.

So I took off my redwings glasses and said that the Nucks, Hawks, Pens have a better top 6 then us and you replied with "pessimism is annoying".

What I said  was not an attack at our GM. Please explain to me how by me saying that thoes teams have a better top six I am being a pessimsit and explain how my "panties are in a bunch" because you just pretty much acted like the common ****** bag who doesnt back up what they say and just calls people stupid

#2323275 Bottom Six

Posted by mjtm77 on 31 July 2012 - 05:41 PM

The hate on Franzen is really annoying. The guy had one bad season last year and still put up good stats.

That 3rd line of Bertuzzi-Helm-Sammy has me really excited... Look how our 3rd line matches up against the league

Canucks: Higgins-Lappierre-Hansen
Penguins: Dupuis-Sutter-Cooke
Blackhawks: Bickell-Bolland-Hayes

We will have an advantage game in and game out

Add that with Bert seemingly being able to find chemistry with anyone on his line and adjust his role

other then the fact that all three of thoes teams have a way better top 6

#2317088 Doan staying in PHX 4 yrs $21.2 mill

Posted by mjtm77 on 08 July 2012 - 05:19 PM

If Doan leaves his Yotes, it will be for a team that he thinks can win him a cup in the next two-three years. Do you honestly believe that from an outsiders point of view that Detroit looks that good compared to other teams that he could sign with?

But the wings are a lock to win the cup every year...........

#2314447 Ryan Suter agrees to 13-year, $98-mil deal with Wild

Posted by mjtm77 on 04 July 2012 - 11:25 AM

13 years?  Give me a break...   The NHL has to do something with these ridiculous deals.  It's obvious it's just circumventing the cap.  Lots of teams have done it, sure.  It's just ridiculous though.  To think anyone is going to play out these 13 year deals is ridiculous.

As for Suter...   congratulations picking yourself a new home where you will never see the Cup.  Apparently thats what he wanted though, stay isolated, away from all the spotlight and attention, collect the big fat paycheck, and never live up to its potential.  If we see Minnesotta paid him more in cash too, then its obvious Suter wasn't focused on winning, but more so on cash.  He's got a far greater chance of winning here, or Pittsburgh, or hell, even Nashville than he does in Minny.

With a deal like that I'm glad he's not here.  Our D is going to suck, no doubt, but 13 years, and what I'd assume is over $100 million... its just stupidity I think.

your like a little kid that didnt get his way.... grow up. The wings are not as high and mighty as you and half the people on here think they are. thoes two will have a fine 13 years in minny.

#2295306 Legwand hides puck in game 4

Posted by mjtm77 on 21 April 2012 - 02:35 PM

Come on now - I think this is grasping at straws. Chris Osgood was the absolute master of knocking the net off its mourings to get a stop in play and Kris Draper was notorious at cheating on face offs but by his own admission "hid it very well".

We lost the game and the series because they were the better team - end of story.

this is true but its still cheating
