Ok, so with Datsyuk, Draper, Ozzie, and Clary's LTIR this season, the Wings have $2.3 million in capspace available this season.

I think there is a 20-30% chance he clears waivers.  Teams like EDM have the Bulin Wall and Dubnyk, what happens if they pick up another goalie?  NJ has Brodeur and Hedberg.  I guess the team to look out for is the Islanders since they don't really have any goalies  
Tampa Bay might be willing to dump Ellis or Smith for Nabokov.  I wonder if Yzerman is going to gamble on Nabokov (good gamble in my book).

It's been 4 games now and he has been more or less invisible.. he came here for secondary scoring but we have yet to see that, I think he needs to start producing ASAP as he's been here for years before he went to Russia and knows the system...can't say stuff like "well he needs to get acclimatized first"....

Actually he said that there were no more trades NEEDED which is an even dumber thing to say.  There were 29 other GM's that knew he was blowing smoke up their asses.  I agree with your assement.  The arbitrator will award Niemi between $3-4M and Chicago will walk away.  Huet will be the starter next year, Sharp will be gone and it wouldn't surprise me if they traded one of their "core" guys to get below the cap.
