Yeah.. but see people DO rip it up with pasha.. this has been a known fact. If you're a decent winger that can finish with playmaking teammates that are legitimately some of the BEST in the league, yeah you normally can produce a lot more. I don't think anyone sat here and said Neal was a horrible player, none the less able to finish. We're simply stating that when you are on a line with Malkin, and on the powerplay with Malkin AND Crosby... well come on. Now, when Neal starts going coast to coast and solo'ing his play, i'll start giving strictly him credit but his linemates deserve just as much credit for his success.
I disagree with you that Dat's linemates have ripped it up? Tell me who to be exact? Not trying to pick a fight just wondering? Dat's is going to make any player on his line better no doubt about it but he can't put the puck in the net for them.
Malkin is a great player almost the same caliber with Dat's yet he's younger. So Dat's is better than Malkin then why is Neal's numbers better? Because Neal is a better goal scorer than anyone that's been paired with Dat's minus maybe Hank but Hank really isn't a pure goal scorer now.
That's why Pittsburgh is deep right now they have a healthy and strong squad. s*** even when they weren't healthy they were winning games. Unlike us. I like to give credit where credit is due and I don't expect a lot of Wings fans to agree.
Everyone knows James Neal is a good scoring forward. But do you think that his production would have increased to this degree if he was still in Dallas?
Scorers score more when they have great playmakers centering them.
No doubt. But Neal was scoring in Dallas and look what he's doing now. And he's young. He just needs to round out his defensive game a bit I think.
