#2226986 What to do to beat San Jose

Posted by St. Michael (the Red Wing) on 18 November 2011 - 01:14 AM

Nothing can be done they are bigger, faster and finish when it comes to scoring. Pound for pound they are the better team right now and have been for awhile. They will more than likely make it to the Conference Finals again. Sad to say it but it's true. And if we make the playoffs yeah playoffs lol we have no chance against them unless some sort of acquistion's are made before the trade deadline. The team we have now imo is worst than the one's the last 2 seasons and we all know how far we went.

That sucks, White will be missed...

#2225079 Ryan Miller's opinion on Milan Lucic

Posted by St. Michael (the Red Wing) on 13 November 2011 - 12:10 PM

It's funny cause no one on Buffalo is going to take on Lucic and if they did I'm pretty sure Lucic would wipe the floor with them. Regardless blah stuff like this happens. Glad to see Miller wasn't injured but if goalies leave the crease like that to play the puck imo they should be fair game.

#2224376 Tough November Ahead

Next two games will be a good test for us and of course the west coast trip as well. Looking forward to seeing what our boyz can do. Go Wings Go!

Brunnstrom should get a chance in the top 6. He wasn't amazing tonight but wasn't bad either. Looked much better tonight than during that Washington drubbing. Either way it helps to play games. AND KEEP BERTUZZI OUT FFS (meaning for f*** sake).

#2222562 Thoughts on tonight's game/Season outlook

For once blueadams, I agree with 100%. *Scratches head*

#2222449 Who would you pick to have back on this team?

Posted by St. Michael (the Red Wing) on 03 November 2011 - 09:14 PM

Yeah Marian Hossa. Looking more and more like the letting Hossa walk and signing Franzen long term deal was a bad idea. I hate to say that but it's true.

You people are crazy if you don't think all the penalties decided this game.

They didn't. Scoring only one goal doomed us.

#2214338 How Do You Feel About The Southeast?

Posted by St. Michael (the Red Wing) on 12 October 2011 - 01:08 PM

Article on this on TSN.CA/NHL right now. I seriously got a headache reading the whole thing. Right in the beginning of the article it says something like every hockey fan thinks they have it figured out. So true.

Blah I hope not. Just switch Nashville to the Southeast. Winnipeg to the Northwest and move Minnesota to the Central. Problem solved.

#2213702 Messing with the lines already?

Posted by St. Michael (the Red Wing) on 09 October 2011 - 10:26 AM

The problem with Homer now and last year as well is he can't skate and isn't that effective 5 on 5. Homer is a warrior no doubt about it but our coaching staff knows our strengths. Cleary isn't as good as Homer on tipping pucks and screening goalies but who is or who has ever been as good as Homer? Dino Ciccarelli comes to mind but that's about it....

It's gonna be hard for Homer to crack the lineup this year. I like the speed we have at the current moment. Although our powerplay is pretty awful right now hopefully things can turn around cause we need our powerplay to produce...Homer can help there but I don't see him seeing much ice time besides that...
