I went to school in Hartford and then moved recently to Charlotte so ive followed the Rangers system for a little while. Now obviously this trade is nothing earth shattering but i like Owens style and think Wings/Griffens fans will too. He's a scrappy, hard worker that puts it all out there. unfortunately at his size there is only so much he can do. Most of you US olympics followers probably were introduced to Ryan Callahan recently. He was awesome in Hartford and when Owens came along he showed a lot of the same characteristics/qualities. obviously hasnt put up the same kind of numbers, but the kid is young and can definitely be an asset to the organization in the future.
I know this is a lot of useless ramble, but im excited for Owens opportunity in Detroit's organization
