Absolutely, an original six day would be a great addition to the NHL for many reasons. As you stated, tradition is obviously one of them. The NFL has the traditional Thanksgiving day games which draws viewers induced in a tryptophan/beer coma to those games. Why not apply the same thing to six originals? Make it a day to look forward to, hell, it doesn't even have to be a holiday, just give me a reason to drink and watch hockey! They could even put it on a baseball field, like the Winter Classic, for nostalgia.

I completely agree with you. Nothing is more frustrating to me than the lopsided riff raff the officials are calling for both teams. The wings have been getting called for some very weak penalties throughout the series, and some questionable non-calls have been let go. I think physical play is obviously expected in hockey, but it's ridiculous that they didn't even seem to take a second glance at the physical contact in the crease on Howard on that goal.
