#2604380 ECQF Game 7 GDT : at Lightning 2, Red Wings 0 (Tampa wins series, 4-3)

If you aren't bringing Bab's back... blow up the front office too.   This plan clearly isnt working on the ice.  These guys are slow, and they lack scoring ability.   Don't even get me started on the defensemen.  Blow it up.  IT starts witht he guy building this roster.

He's not the best coach for this team.  At least I hope not, because they've regressed every season with him.  We need a fresh start and fresh ideas from a fresh mind.  Babcock has no more ideas on how to improve this roster.

Well, in his defense, it's not his roster.  Ken Holland is buying the groceries.  There's not much there to work with, especially on the back end.

The fact the officials aren't going to call anything, with all the blatant hooking, interference, and holding Tampa is doing right now, especially out front of the net.  It's ridiculous.  This is what I HATE about playoff hockey.  They let you get away with anything, and everything when the games, and series' are on the line.   Call it consistently, like you call it all year.  If you want to call it like this all year, that's fine by me.  Just be consistent.

Such an uninspired performance tonight by everyone not named Petr Mrazek.

I can't believe some people are crying to fire Babcock... the best coach in hockey.  Unreal.  Seriously people, take off the homer glasses here, think clearly and realistically.  This team that we have, has no chance against Boston.  Not because of coaching, because of talent.  Boston is stronger, bigger, more talented in every area.  From net, to defensemen, to their forwards.  Add in the fact that Datsyuk clearly is struggling with his injury still, and Zetterberg as well, then combine the fact that the rest of the roster is full of guys who played in the AHL last year, and you should easily be able to see what the problem is here.  It's not the coach.  It's an inexperienced roster, filled with injuries up against the team that is probably going to win the cup.

Lets be serious here rather than trying to point the blame at Babcock, or even Holland for that matter... If it wasnt for all these kids currently playing on the Wings that were drafted... we wouldn't even be in the damn playoffs today.  The fact that we even are is a miracle on its own the way this season went, without a guy like Babcock behind the bench steering those kids adn getting the best out of them down the stretch, you could shoot a cannon through this forum right now it would be so empty.

Nice job by Smith on the 2 on 1, and great job by Kronwall hustling to get back.

Pavel! Just got in from a pit rehearsal to see that beauty!

Gustavsson in? Howard hurt or just because he was weak in games 2 and 3?

Flu for Howard...  in the dressing room, half in equipment, getting fluids..

Unreal... they "miss" the two trips of helm, the crosscheck by Marchand to the face of Smith, but then they conveniently call that one on Smith to try and even out the PP time, because you just knew after a 4 minute PP the next call was going to be on us.  It's a damn shame the way they call these games now.

1 Goal in his last 21 games...  Man that's pathetic.  Way to go Franzen.

#2513613 ADQF | Game 3 | Boston 3 @ Detroit 0, BOS leads series 2-1

It all boils down to this: Boston is just better. MUCH better.

Exactly.  People need to take the homer glasses off, and set their emotions aside.  This team at this stage in its growth is nowhere near as good as Boston.  Hell, probably half of our lineup tonight started the season in Grand Rapids, and not just started the season there, but likely would have finished it there if its not for all the injuries.  Theyre young...  its called growing pains, we're not used to it because of the steady line of vets we've rolled through here... its a changing of the guard in Detroit...  We're not as good as we like to think, we've been spoiled.  It's going to happen all over again though as these kids get more experience, and size, we're going to be that deadly team again, especially up front.  On the back end, the D really needs help, it needs a solid vet.
