The rotation was started because Babcock felt that Datsyuk was deserving of an A, and they wanted to reflect that.  I don't think we will see a rotation now with Draper retired.


unless Babcock feels the same way about Kronwall deserving an A as he did about Datsyuk deserving one back then

which is entirely possible given some of those quotes

what's with all the people so against this?

just because he's 39 and has been in the KHL for a few years?

3 years ago he put up 71 points in the NHL(and 15 points in 10 games in the playoffs),4 years ago he put up 96 points in the NHL,5 years ago he put up 126 points

just one month ago in a tournament with Spezza,Tavares,Nash,Duchene,Havlat,Plekanec,Koivu,Ovechkin,Radulov,Kovalchuk,Gaborik,Hossa and others he was named the best forward

on top of all this he's one of the best players EVER and deserves the benefit of the doubt for that alone

and a bunch of people here don't want him? even on a reasonable 1 year deal? really?

Last time I checked it takes 4 wins, not 3, plenty of hockey left to play

just this year already in the first round Boston came back from down 2-0 to win(and those first two games were home games for Boston),Tampa Bay came back from down 3-1 to win,and Chicago was 1 goal away from winning their series after being down 3-0

the Wings only need to win two of their last five games and then it won't matter what anyone else does as far as the division goes

they can actually clinch the division tomorrow if they win both of the games this weekend

beating Nashville today would eliminate them from the division race(Detroit would then have 100 points which would then be Nashville's max and Detroit would hold the tiebreaker even if Nashville won the rest)

then if they beat Minnesota tomorrow too they would eliminate Chicago from the division race(Detroit would then have 102 points which is Chicago's max and Detroit would hold the tiebreaker even if Chicago won the rest)

So you would say their tear to start the season has nothing to do with their inflated point totals?

in that post I didn't mean trade Nabokov to us

I meant maybe a deal with another team for them to trade their own goalie to us cheap in exchange for getting Nabokov signed to a cheap deal on waivers
