In Topic: Curtis Glencross regrets taking hometown discount

That being said, it's hard to feel sorry for someone who wasn't responsible enough with his spending when he makes that amount of money.

The article never said he's broke or was reckless with his money. Just his sentiment that he could have cashed in on his last big contract instead of taking a discount.

Thanks Ami,

Those conferences are definitely a good idea and I'm interested in attending them... They're just a little far off time-wise. I intend to be pro-active in the meantime.

What's your educational background, if you don't mind me asking? That could be a unique way to present your qualifications.

He had to sit out the second half of the 2013-14 season due to "academic issues". After seeing Smith dominate offensively at the college level but look dumb as a rock in the NHL, I hope we're not getting a right-handed version of the same thing.

In Topic: Best American forward in the nhl?

depends how you look at it. Usually people are going to say either:

Kane, Parise, Kessel

It all depends on people's opinion. Kane is the most electric and best dangler. Parise is the best all around player. Kessel is the best goal scorer.

In my opinion, its Parise because I favor complete players

Pretty much exactly what I was gonna say. Parise is also by far the most likeable of the three in terms of grit, leadership and character as well.

In Topic: Sharp & Johns to DAL for Daley and Garbut

Doesn't Dallas need quality defensemen a lot more desperately than forwards? Not sure what Nill is going for with Sharp and his $5.9 million cap hit when they already have Benn, Seguin and Spezza.

I guess Chicago swapped Oduya with Daley, but their forward depth isn't what it was last year.
