Sorry for being snippy, I've just been hearing so much negativity since game 4 and decided to come on here after a few pops and watching the games tonight.

I would definitely drive 3.5 hours down to Columbus for the fan festivities, and maybe even get some game tickets if they aren't incredibly expensive.
I get that the outcome of the game doesn't really matter, but it looks like a good time that's worth such a short drive.
Even if you only do the fan fest.

Don Cherry is definitely about 5 years from becoming intensely senile, but for the time being and for several decades now, he's been on point. The dude speaks the truth, no matter how it might come out of his mouth. I hope he's still on HNIC for years to come. Literally until the dude is spewing s*** that makes no sense and clawing at the camera guy, I hope he remains on HNIC. Also, I hope he keeps having different white bull terriers named Blue until the end of his existence.

This dude probably bought the jersey for 30 bucks, had it signed at a team hotel, and is trying to turn a quick buck.

I find it really strange that Lemieux will be there, especially charging MORE than McCarty's?
McCarty usually charges around 20 bucks for in store signings, thats just his price. he'll sign for free at charity events or other events aswell, but with in store signings, its generally 20 bucks.
plus anyone who collects wings autographs probably has him on a few things.
If i went to this signing, which i plan on, i'd probably just get the 60 dollar ticket that includes both sigs and the 16x20, so a single signed lemieux item isnt going down on my end.
him charging 5 dollars more than McCarty isnt a big deal though. he's travelling here, and someone's likely gonna call him a **** at some point.

if kocur didnt win the cup with the wings in 97' and 98', i'd pick him.
but sheppard being another player we let go of right before the cup years, i'd have to go with him if i could throw him back in the mix.
i think he deserves a cup for sure.
he went all the way to the finals with the wings in 95 and got swept, the next season he went to san jose who then threw him to the panthers, and they went to the finals and also got swept.
ray sheppard for sure.

To this day, I've never seen the handshake line, or the cup raise from that game.
Call it sour grapes, whatever.
yeah, i dont think crosby seen much of the handshake line either.

Just got back from the signing at Best Buy. pretty epic s***.
there were no more than 100 people there, and they had free posters to sign (about 20x30") and I got a couple other things signed.
I'd suggest hitting up one of these signings to anyone here that collects autographs.
only ryan kesler is doing the signings tomorrow, but its free and he's the main dude on the poster, 75 point scorer and an olympic silver medalist.
plus turco, johnson, and kesler are all doing the signing tonight between 5-7pm outside of comerica park.
do it up.

these are my most recent ebay pick ups, i havent bought anything new in the last few months though.
i picked up that jimmy howard griffins auto for a ridiculously low price, like $3.00 including shipping. i got it back in november before he broke out into full time fury, so im guessing i probably wouldnt be able to pick it up for as low as i did then ;]. its not an NHL card though so i wouldnt consider it a rookie, its from a 2007 AHL set.
and the ciccarelli jersey cards were awesome deals aswell. i got the north stars one for 2 or 3 dollars and the capitals one for around 5 bucks, # 33/99
