No matter what it is, I'm gonna pretend Lids is coming back and live in denial.

Almquist says Hi.

He's so small he tends to get lost in the crowd.

#2436135 Rookie you're most looking forward to watching this season

#2436192 So....did Cleary just take Tatar's spot?

Posted by unsaddleddonald on 12 September 2013 - 12:42 PM

Tatar deserves to be on this team

Cleary does not

end of story

"Durrrrrr Cleary had the 2nd most points in the playoffs....Durrrrrr"

By that rationale, we could say that Cleary was better in the playoffs than Datysuk.......right?!

#2435207 Datsyuk Robbed

Posted by 55fan on 06 September 2013 - 12:31 AM

I wonder if they knew that it was his place?  I'm sure it was in a nice part of town and that they figured there'd be money.  I hope that it was just gadgets and stuff, not hockey memorabilia or family stuff.

I was going to say that I hope they catch the bastard and make him stand unprotected in net as Pavel takes 100 slap shots at him, but this is Pavel; 99 of them would go right past him.

how could someone rob the nicest person on earth?

#2434632 New enemies, whom do you fear the most?

Posted by SensViking on 01 September 2013 - 06:44 PM

Hi- I come here as friend not foe and I don't intend to stir the pot but just to add my opinion.

Firstly- I am a Sens fan but secondly and maybe more importantly I am an Alfie fan. I'm not sure where I stand on all the off season shenangians but you have got yourself a great player- he smart and makes players around him better.

I have always considered the Western conference to be superior to the East in terms of skill and I think you guys may be selling yourselves a little short.

I think you guys are going to skate circles around the East and cause teams fits for a couple of seasons- until you either devolve or they pick it up.

I watched every game of your playoff series last season against the Hawks and the pace of the game was far and beyond anything I saw in the East.

You can't hit what you can't catch.

I pick Detroit to be in the Final with maybe Piitsburgh...but Detroit will be there- changing of the guard and injuries and you're still scary.

Yeah Ottawa may talk a good game but who knows what team will show up-really.

Toronto is a two trick pony, Montreal all emotion and Subban is so readable, and Boston has lost a step.

I see good things for Detroits immediate future.

#2434176 Wings sign Alfredsson to 1-year, $3.5m deal (+$2m bonuses)

Posted by Dabura on 26 August 2013 - 11:41 AM

An aging vet who falls down a lot but plays fearless, does the dirty work, and is all heart, yet in spite of that people act like he's total garbage and can't wait to kick him off the team?

hmm... that sounds strangely familiar.

I'd say the big difference is Holmstrom was a specialist. No one could do what he could do, even when he was at the end of his career.

Cleary? We like his..."veteran leadership."

Unless you're talking about Alfredsson?

#2430340 Best Hitter on the Team

Posted by Z Winged Dangler on 16 July 2013 - 12:44 PM

If only Big E used his size and Bert was younger; Vladdy was the best that comes to mind

But the current roster, Kronwall

Vladdy paved the way for Kronwall.  The open ice hits Vladdy used to lay on guys would make Kronwall blush.  He no doubt studied the tapes before he started Kronwalling guys.  So to say, the Vladiating of many was passed on to what we now refer to as Kronwalling.  Open ice hits kick ass.

#2430151 Brunner Contract Talks

Posted by Z Winged Dangler on 15 July 2013 - 12:21 PM

The more I read about this, I truly believe this is the biggest issue with him.

That is why NJD look so intriguing to him, with Kovy leaving they have a large gap in their top 6.

In the span of 2 years, the Devils lose Parise, Clarkson and Kovalchuk.  That's a top line...  With our D departures in the past few years, we know exactly how they feel, and it kinda sucks.  Lots of ice time for Brunner if he goes there.  And he'll either be flanking Zajac or Henrique likely.

#2430041 Henrik and Pavel

Posted by number9 on 14 July 2013 - 03:02 PM

If Pavel and Henrik keep going at this pace their numbers will be retired. Feds 91 will never be retired.

#2428673 Abdelkader Hypothetical

While it's always nice to see someone amused, these types of posts are frowned upon and usually end up deleted.  Once you are finished laughing, please share why you are so amused.  "LOL" adds nothing to the conversation.

sorry, i thought it was obvious.

predicting that abdelkader will triple his career high in goals and points made me LOL

:eh:

55 points?

Guy scored 3 points in 12 playoff games, playing on the top lines.  He's not an offensive player and has hammer hands.

Babcock needs to put this guy on the lower lines where he belongs.
