#2372969 Guy Boucher fired

Posted by Crymson on 24 March 2013 - 02:40 PM

He did trade away Kyle Quincey for a first round pick.  One of the best swindles in recent memory.

He played intermediary, effectively trading Steve Downie for a 1st.

Also, he put together Canada for the 2010 Olympics, coming off the disastrous team they assembled for the 2006 games.

Anyone can look and see that the 2006 Canadian team was terribly selected. It is not difficult to put together an excellent roster of Canadian players; Yzerman simply took the best scoring talent available and used it. Brian Burke, meanwhile, put together an American roster in 2010 that very nearly won the gold despite Canada having far more hockey talent than the USA does. Does this mean to you that he is a better NHL GM than Yzerman?

I still wish he was in Detroit and ready to take over Holland's duties.

I think that the people who consider him some sort of savior are deluding themselves. Holland is still his better at this stage.

Ducks are acting like a bunch of spoiled princesses.  Complete BS from them.  Someone replace the water bottles with baby bottles full of warm milk.

Do we seriously not have anyone better than Abby for the top six, like Sheahan, or Ferraro, or f****** anybody else?!?  Christ.

Well of course I love to say I told you, that was sacasm. But it isn't like I come here after EVERY Wings loss. I mean, if that was the case and all I wanted to do was troll you guys, I would come here after the consecutive losses to Columbus or something like that. Or the last time Minnesota beat Detroit in St. Paul. Actually, I only come here now because someone mentioned these boards in a discussion on HF. Admittedly, I stir the pot a bit but the fact that everything I said this summer has come true or looks to be coming true.. It's hard not to be like, well I kinda predicted this. In my defense though, I did make one note about the game. You all seem to think that Minnesota plays the neutral zone trap (ala Dave Tippit in PHO) but I was able to set you straight (as someone who watches every Wild game) and inform you that it is actually a 1-2-2 system that Yeo runs. It just looked like a trap to you because most of your 38 shots came from outside the dots and Backstrom smothered anything that wasn't. I do have a question though.. It seems to me that Nyquist was one of your better forwards last night and he is apparently your organizations best prospect. He's been in the minors for some time now, why is he not a main stay in your lineup? Is Justin Abdelkator really better than him or did he run over Babcock's dog or something?

Are you saying the score of the game effected Datsyuk's play? Im confused.

Question: If you were asked to do 13 pushups but could only do one, would you brag about it? How much would you feel like analysing this? Or talking about it in general?

The Wild have been in Minnesota since 2000. They've never had a better regular season than Detroit - this seaon isn't over yet. And they've only had one playoff that was better. That was the year after Detroit won the cup, and 5 years before Detroit's next cup.

Also, where the f*** were you last week when the Wild were in 10th or whatever?

Your acting like an *******, and it's transparent. That's all I have to say.

#2370954 Perry Re-signs w/ Ducks

Posted by FlashyG on 18 March 2013 - 10:47 PM

You forgot he'd get to play with his countryman Filppula...Win-Win-Win for Teemu! That's a hatrick of wins!

He would cure the PP woes that is for sure...

I'm pretty sure Babcock would find a reason to give Cleary, Teemu's PP minutes... likely something to do with creating space, being a big body, or being "realgood"

Tatar has 2 goals in three games since rejoining the Griffins.

#2369451 Datsyuk Leaving?!

Posted by Z Winged Dangler on 15 March 2013 - 08:35 PM

I'm gonna pretend Datsyuk is going to play forever like I did with Nick and just deal with that very horrible day when it comes.

I hope he plays longer than Chelios.  He makes me happy, what can I say.

Nah, I'd rather they lose out the rest of the season and get a solid draft pick. Start anew next season

Jonathan Drouin would look super duper in a Winged Wheel.  He can stick handle and also shoot.  I know, that's wild huh?
