like I've said before, if Boston wants Q, I am asking for Joe Morrow in return. The B's may not do it, but that is my asking price.
I still turn K over along with Almqvist for the best possible return. If I need to throw in our 1st to get it, I will...
That doesn't get you much. Quincey is a UFA and sucks, Almqvist has proven nothing, as is his value and the 1st is middle of the pack for now and might be a late pick depending on how the Wings finish.
Yeah I just noticed that as well. Didn't realize that was the way everyone ranks it. And yeah, they should definitely go by either Golds, or overall medal count. IMHO.
I think they should go by overall medals imo. I understand Gold's are where it's at, but the Olympics are about winning the most medals, and USA and Norway should both be above Canada, and Germany should be below.
lol all you can do is laugh sometimes on this board regarding certains things.
You gotta admit that's a little ridiculous and comes off as them trying to find any way possible to keep themselves as high in the standings as they can. I mean come on a team that has the same amount of Golds and has 3 more overall medals should certainly be higher in the rankings.
I'm sorry, did Canada make the rules about the standings ? A little over sensitive I believe. Why don't you complain about Germany or some other country that have half the medals but are ranked higher.
Yeah actually you did compare them by saying team USA has also not faced a medal contender (after I referred to Norway and Austria being lucky draws). Team Slovakia is much more respected and has a much better chance for a medal than either Norway or Austria. And it's not my fault that team USA hasn't played their 2nd game yet. The point is, Canada got very lucky with their first 2 draws, compared to team USA who already faced a respectable team and will face a Gold medal contender (and home country) team Russia for their 2nd game.
Apparently stating facts is "hating on the favorites." So so overly sensitive it's almost laughable. lol
Sorry to break it to you, but Henrik Zetterberg doesn't "owe" you anything.
I think he typed it wrong. I think he meant to say "He was selfish".
I said it before, and I will say it again. Datsyuk didn't have to stay with us for another 3 years, he could have went to Russia this coming year. If you think we are f***ed now, imagine us without Datsyuk for the next 3 years. I would let him go to Russa 110/100 times to have him for another 3 years. People need to stop being greedy and act like they owe us more then what they have already done.
Swap Kindl and a pick or prospect for a top 4 guy and let Marchenko take Quincey's spot and I'll be happy. Ericsson and Dekeyser both do OK offensively for guys who don't get PP time. Last year Ericsson had as many or more points at even strength than guys who are considered offensive d men.
100% agree. Give the kid more then 1 game to prove himself. I highly doubt he's worse then Quincey.
Huh? I don't get what you're saying. The European players are going to play in a different league for a year so they can play in the Olympics? I some how don't see that happening. I don't think its THAT big of a thing.
The USA hasn't won a gold medal since 1980. No one really cares. Canada hasn't dominated the Olympic games since the NHL has participated either. Canada hasn't been a powerhouse internationally of late either.
I don't see why they don't just play in the Summer Olympics. Basketball does and its a "Winter" sport. No reason you can't switch things like gymnastics or swimming to the Winter games.
During a Friday afternoon appearance on TSN 1050 Radio in Toronto, TSN reporter Darren Dreger passed along the news that the NHL "will not" participate in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, which will be hosted in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
