Don't get cocky, it's not over, etc etc yes.... but, whatever happens in the series, the article is clearly way off base. if the wings are proving anything, it's that they can compete with anyone.
Flashy G, I have one problem with your beautiful work. Why did you name your villian Loki? That's my dog's name and he's anything but a villain! Can you change it? To something less painful?
..but at the same time, he's playing effectively where he is now and maybe that's because of the lines he's matched up against..? I think he'll stay where he is for now and end up in the top 6 most of next season.
Being a Calgary fan must be the worst feeling in the world. They've been crying for a rebuild for years, and when it finally happens... their GM absolutely screws it up, getting a simply awful return for their players.
The 1st round picks they've gotten are late, the prospects are most likely going nowhere.
Calgary will be a very, very bad team for a long time.
The vibe I'm getting is that he'll definitely sign with the Red Wings in the next few days. Also, I know a lot of people are pretty excited about the kid here, but I hope no one expects him to put up a ton of points, or be super flashy off the bat. Maybe eventually he develops into that role, but from what I've seen (and heard second hand) he's a really quiet type of player who does all the little things right.
He's been touted as a Brad Stuart type of player, and that's what the Red Wings really need, imo. I'm pretty pumped to get him myself, but I feel like I know what to expect out of him (all around solid play).
something the wings have been lacking at times this year. yeah, he won't be an instant allstar (few players are) but he's a guy that would be HUGE for us long term for sure.
