pretty excited to see jurco in the lineup though!

it's too bad mantha got hurt or he'd probably be in there instead of Nestrasil....

but here's to hoping Nestrasil has a killer debut and cleary gets waived instead!

LGW! Thank God hockey is back!

Holland: "We're hoping Dan Cleary can bounce back. He'll be good insurance. He'll have to beat people out to be in the lineup."

Anyone buying it? No? Didn't think so..

I'm not sure who compared Brunner to Hudler but I can honestly say I've never seen that. Exactly, Frk already has the size advantage and has shown the willingness to get his nose dirty, which is why I said I can see him becoming a grittier / hungrier Hudler, which in my mind isn't a bad thing at all. What were the biggest knocks against Hudler? He was very timid most of the time, and seemed to be frightened to death to take a hit. He was also a very poor skater, with a wicked shot, which again is why I compare him to Frk. There are a lot of similarities in their game, other than size and handedness, which is great for us. I hope he can become a bigger, grittier Hudler...

but can Frk be as happy? and will he remember the stairs? these are the real questions....

Having a player like Jurco as a first call up is never a bad thing. Depth is key to success in the NHL.

I agree with these points but, at the same time, I'd rather see the Tatar-Shaehan-Jurco line continue to develop their chemistry.

They were one of the most exciting lines to watch last season imo and they're only going to get better.

But yeah, not the end of the world if jurco starts in grand rapids....
