Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: Red Wings Patrick Eaves hasn’t played since suffering a concussion last November. His headaches are ‘fewer and further between’, but he still hasn’t been cleared by team doctors. Eaves said,

“that the bad part is behind me now. This is part of the progress, skating with other guys and trying to get used to that. The speed is, obviously, not what it is at training camp. I’m just happy to be out there with the guys.”

I'll be so stoked when this guy is back. I've always been a fan of helm and eaves. especially on the PK.

Really? I never knew that.. I could see him playing for a year there once he's done here I guess but not so much at 36. I feel like he could continue to dominate in the NHL for years to come.. 36 just sounds too young for a guy of his caliber to leave the NHL. just my opinion though..

No way I trade nyquist unless a team offers something we can't refuse.. And I don't see that happening. Nyq is going to be stellar.

Not sure what I'd trade but if it's what kennys really looking into, I'm sure he'll make sure it's a decent deal.

I've been reading some of his stuff and I feel like yea, he's right sometimes and often before anyone else. But I think he just puts out so many tweets and hopes to be right/ hopes people don't notice when he's wrong. Then again, they are all rumors and it is fun to speculate.. I don't think id trust him 100% of the time but I'll still read his posts at least out of curiosity/boredom haha

“Those are from [Sidney] Crosby,” Giroux told the paper. “Every time we’d line up against each other for a face-off during our series, instead of going for the puck when it was dropped, he’d hack me across the wrists. I ended up playing the series against Jersey with one of them fractured and had to go for surgery on both of them after we were out of the playoffs.”
