#2614280 Wings open to trading Mantha and/or their 1st Round Pick

Posted by Wingzman91 on 13 June 2015 - 10:27 PM

"Reporter" asks, " Would you be willing to trade the 1st or maybe a player like Mantha? "

'source' says, " Look, if someone wants to blow us away with an offer then of course I would consider it, I'm not doing my job otherwise. "

"Reporter" prints, " Wings open to moving 1st/Mantha. "

Fans use whatever scrap of evidence to support their personal feelings and the sun sets.

I make about one post a year and I have to waste it on this garbage....

BOOO, these reporters are reporting on the news and not on whatever their opinion might be, BOOO.

This is being played like politics and a perceived lack of interest in bashing management is being equated to condoning said moves.

These are not the same things, everyone is taking mental shortcuts to the conclusion and bypassing the idea that media SHOULD report ONLY the facts.

People are so quick to forget that because it is sports, it is journalism too, adding opinion taints that.

Let bloggers speculate, speculation is what you people seem to desire, but is also the reason these speculators don't have credentials, because they only want those credentials to make their asinine opinions seem more valid when they are arguing in their own comments section.

Nobody knows what a good signing is until the season is over and we all have 20/20 hindsight, your intuition is not proof of any fact and your anger is not a catalyst for change. All I read when I see this garbage is a lot of spoiled fans who even after making the playoffs for 23 years in a row and winning more Stanley Cups than any team in a quarter century, think they could do better and sit around bitterly whining about a few depth moves being made.

Grow up Hockeytown!

29 other teams lose the cup or on said free agent, I can't wait for the article to come out saying player X didn't want to come to Detroit because of the entitled fans, well I guess I could buy a website, call myself a blogger, write the opinion myself, use anonymous sources and then ***** because no one takes me serious.

#2366166 wings arent winning the cup

...didn't the 8th seed Kings win last year, I bet you saw that coming too.

I try to explain this all the time to the glass half empty crowd, no one here cares that you don't believe and no one thinks you are intelligent for predicting 1 out of 30 teams won't win.

We enjoy watching our team, so you know what to do with your predictions....

For lack of a negative button, my response is to write out NEGATIVE.

Yawn...couldn'tf****** care less...the only thing that would be appealing about a settlement is the thought of seeing half empty arenas and empty spaces on the boards because sponsors have bailed...but too many of the fans are as stupid as the two parties involved so we'll continue to see the same s*** repeated...

This stupid fan, can wait as long as it takes and will be first in line to get tickets to see the Wings.
The lockout may very well be a good thing for this team, we could end up with a higher draft pick then we would have normally, including a 1 in 30 shot of the #1 pick.
I love how you think that both sides are stupid, aswell as anyone who attends a game after this, yet you are on a fan site posting about hockey instead of doing everything else in the world.
Patience grasshoppa.
The Griffins game is on!

And the owners rightfully so will not be giving up their money any time soon so the players can all go over seas to play I guess. If that's what they want so bad. The idiot players that are running their mouths to the media need to shut up and let the big boys negotiate and stop crying.

Ya, get in your pen cattle.
How dare you have an opinion on your boss not letting you make a living.
You are a product and not a person.
You are under contract, that needs to be respected along with the man who signed it.

Sounds like the only crying is from the turncoats on these boards and the PR boys running TSN right now.

A two week break was proposed, how is that negotiating???
Ian spoke up and threw Bettman under the bus, saying what all of us have said or thought at one point.
And what happened???
They got their asses back to the table, way to go and thank you Mr. White.

#2333999 Nyquist Injury: Any News?

Posted by Wingzman91 on 13 November 2012 - 09:43 PM

Nyquist was hurt "along the boards". Last time I checked, that's not a scoring area unless Garth Snow is in net.

He was also "hurt" in the sense he dominated the very next game they played.

" I am so upset at the lack of hockey that when it comes back I will ignore it. "

It's anger, not logic.

Do not miss the Winter Classic.
Do not get swept up in the idealism, if not for the team, do it for the city.

#2331527 Jordin Tootoo & Polar Bears

Posted by Wingzman91 on 13 October 2012 - 06:55 PM

Not commenting on the naked bear hunting, but I thought this was kind of douchy regardless of who it was coming from:

@Jtootoo22: If you're an interior designer in Kelowna I can use your help for free..... #lockoutproblems

@Jtootoo22: Thanks to @paolopero1 for driving me to Bellingham WA to pick up my Viper http://t.co/iYnafvQr

Oh #lockoutproblems. When you can't afford an interior designer because you're too busy spending money on a new Viper...

Not gaining my sympathy, Toots.

It is called a joke.
No sympathy, because you had none to start with.
You also added the word new.
This is a round about stab at the players, as if given the opportunity to play they would lockout the owners.
The owners locked out the players from making the money they agreed to pay them.
If you wanna knock Tootoo, do it over the bears atleast that shows you care about something other than your longing to watch NHL hockey.
Think I need another month off.

EDIT: Hey, try and have some sympathy for the charities and donations that Tootoo supports with that undeserved money.

Did not say this earlier because this looks like the op is just bitter about Nashville beating us.

But since it has made it to page two,
25,000 polar bears
50,000 Inuits

If only the "civilized" world had sanctions in place to protect the people who lived here before we came and took their lands.
Seriously, the only reason our country is in a place where they can look down on people because of what they eat, is because they had no morals or conscience when it came to slaughtering and enslaving people they perceived as inferior.

Try to remember that these are human beings like you and I and that their society has been around for over a thousand years, they have always been an arctic, maritime people.
Polar bear meat is one of the reasons they survived to today and I don't think anyone has the right to tell them they are wrong for it, they did not overfarm bears in 1000 years and polar bears did not get to their endangered status from natives, but from the same expansion that endangered the natives.

#2330814 Z basically says Bettman should be fired

Posted by Wingzman91 on 05 October 2012 - 09:36 PM

Caring about the fans does not mean capitulating to the other side.

I would hope they love the game more than it's fans.
This deal also will affect hundreds of players not even in the league yet, there are more things to consider than "will fan X have something to do after work tonight?"

I want hockey back also, but in no way am I pretending I am the victim here.

The simple fact: The OWNERS locked out the PLAYERS, because the OWNERS saw a opportunity to take back guaranteed contract money and use it to subsidize teams in non-traditional markets.

I sign contracts with people all the time, never has anyone ever suggested that I take less money and do the same amount of work.
I don't know why people feel entitled to these players, they don't owe you anything, they owe their family for all the time they are gone and cutting their household income by 1/4 doesn't fly.

If Mario had to give back 1/4 of his money back in the day then there might not be a Penguins team today.
Yet now he has the balls to demand that of the people he inspired to join this profession.

Bottom Line: The league is not losing money, it is earning a profit. Some teams are winning, others losing.
The heaviest contributing factor to the losing of said teams is that they don't have a big enough fan base in their non-traditional market.
Taking money from the players allows owners to operate the flawed system longer, but does nothing to fix the problem.
If there is no problems then what will they point to next time they feel like changing all the rules because their team can not win the cup.

#2323513 Holland losing his moxie? Is Detroit slipping as UFA destination?

Posted by Wingzman91 on 02 August 2012 - 01:01 AM

Yes that's it...bs bs bs bs bs bs bs bs bs.
So how appealing are the Red Wings now?

EDIT: Lost my password for the other acct. , convenient way to get rid of 217 negatives too.

This is how delusional opposing teams fans are, why every team thinks they are the rival of Detroit.
Detroit finds a way to win.
That is what burns you up.
Detroit will always be appealing to it's fans, good luck convincing them otherwise, sounds like a good use of your time.

#2318967 Holland Content with Current Roster

Posted by Wingzman91 on 13 July 2012 - 01:58 PM

I also want to take this time to blame every other GM beside Lombardi for not winning the cup.
You all know what you didn't do to make your teams better, how dare you all.

Holland is an easy target for everyone who thinks the glass is half empty, no amount of trades and free agents will guarantee your team a cup and to blame the GM for a perceived lack of moves is ignorant.

" Damn you Kenny! Why didn't you go back in time and move the Suters and Parises to Detroit before they where born! "

There is absolutely nothing better any of you could have done. Period.
