#2192779 Wings re-sign Ericsson to 3-year, $9.75m contract

Posted by Wingzman91 on 30 June 2011 - 08:55 PM

Even at 3.25 a year, inflatted now won't be as bad with cap raises.

Also, who would we fill the spot with better?

Everyone who had to trade away rights couldn't sign their guy for this much.

E will be good at 5th and hopefully move up, wtg Kenny, now you can focus on tomorrow.

#2189855 Babcock "pissed off" about Burns-to-SJ

Posted by Wingzman91 on 25 June 2011 - 09:59 PM

Tool happens to be a good band :P

Seriously, this isn't that big a deal, Burns would have been awesome, but, who is to say we don't get him next year?

Patience, grasshoppa, alot said Vancouver had it in the bag when they got Ballard and July 1st Hamhuis.

We WILL sign someone and you'll love him just as much as you'd ever loved Burns.

Atleast I will :P

When this happens, just unplug your ps3, that way it doesnt auto-save, then you go in and sign Lidstrom yourself, easy.

#2134911 Passingham called up on 24 hour tryout.

I'm available for 4th line LW, Kenny, just incase Hudler can't go.

#2128531 Chara's hit on Pacioretty

Posted by Wingzman91 on 10 March 2011 - 03:47 PM

How many people have been hurt by the puck this year, do we change that to a nerf ball?
We can remove all the glass so no one can get hurt on it, the boards too, hell. the arena, its dangerous for players to have to drive there in traffic.
This was a fluke, these guys know that they can get hurt out there, ask Boyce and Modano.
That said, if this wasn't a Hab that got hurt, there would be no police involved.

He's in that grave over there. "

#2122546 Conklin

Posted by Wingzman91 on 26 February 2011 - 04:18 PM

He wont fit our cap without moving someone and we have 25+ teams with priority over us.
A trade was the only way, now Conks is off the market.
Bring in the next speculation please.

#2114241 Russian player name transcriptions to change, will NHL follow?

Posted by Wingzman91 on 10 February 2011 - 01:49 PM

I was against the name change, till i read Semyon Varlamov's name was being spelled Semen. Now thats funny.

#2113555 And he does it again!

Posted by Wingzman91 on 09 February 2011 - 03:07 PM

Kill the Cooke!!!
If only every team in the league took a run at Cooke, every game he was on the ice.
Someone needs to frag this idiot.

He shouldn't have been able to hurt Tyutin, because he should have been suspended for hitting Ovie, this is Campbell's fault, entirely.

#2111818 Red Wings Interested In Conklin?

Posted by Wingzman91 on 07 February 2011 - 02:12 PM

They would have to move a player to make room.
That said, if they moved Osgood, I approve also.
Rather keep Osgood, let him retire and replace him next year.

#2111639 Trade Deadline and You are GM.

Posted by Wingzman91 on 07 February 2011 - 08:01 AM

Right. I don't see Ozzy retiring, and unfortunetly, if he doesn't I don't see Kenny cutting him loose either. Kenny has serious man love for Osgood. What I do see if Kenny picking up another goalie to challenge for the job and possibly force Osgood out. Kind of like Maltby this year, he can still play for us of he wants, just in GR most of the time. The Nabokov thing kind of proved that, because I believe if Nabby would have wanted to, he would of been around next year. And Howard would stay over Osgood.

I like Conklin in theory but he's having a terrible season and we need something a little more sure.

Capwise you have to move someone, if Osgood doesn't get traded his contract counts, even if he retires or goes to the AHL.
Thats why I gave up on figuring out the backup this year, its Osgood.

#2111634 Trade Deadline and You are GM.

Look man, I figured you'd get mad. Sorry, but your ideas just aren't realistic. If that's what YOU want, great. But if this thread goes anywhere I'd be willing to bet the majority of posters would not only give an emphatic NO to the idea of trading 2 1st round picks in any one deal, let alone for a third line center. I don't believe Tallon will get that, let alone your type deal, from anyone for Weiss. He's just simply not worth it.

Campoli is an offensive minded 5th or 6th d-man on this team. Not worth a 2nd. Carkner would cost less, or the same (not a 2nd) and bring something we don't have.

I hold true to that, if we get nothing else at the deadline, we will most likely aquire a goaltender.

Edit: If we trade 2, 1st round picks in any deal it will almost certainly be/should be towards Nick's replacemant.

I'm not mad, and like i said 2 1sts is more than generous, thats what i'd be willing to do.
I was more hoping people would post what they would do, not how bad my GM skills are :)
In my assumptions, Lidstrom plays 2 more years :)
Conklin would have been the goalie i'd have picked, and got Matthias or Frolik from FL, but, Ozzy isn't going to retire, so we wouldn't really have room, and I don't think Kenny forces Ozzy to quit before the season is over.

#2111632 Trade Deadline and You are GM.

Posted by Wingzman91 on 07 February 2011 - 06:46 AM

No, on both your trades.

I doubt Florida would take our depth guys, and one dimensional Hudler, for thier longest tenured player. Salei being in that deal is just not something that happens.

Also, you don't trade a 2nd round pick for Campoli and we don't need him anyway.

If we make a deal, it will almost certainly be for a goalie.

In comparison to your suggestions, mine look amazing.
Florida is on the edge, if they sink Tallon is going to rebuild, and Weiss has been a name thrown around alot, its not something I made up.
Hence the two 1st round picks, which I think is more than generous considering.
Hudler, Salei are salary dump in my plan and are needed one way or another to make the transactions, also FL would need some players to round out the lineup if they are selling off more players.
(McCabe, Reasoner, Frolik, Matthias, Vokoun, etc)

But, seriously, you come on to the post and do the opposite of what I was asking all around. Classy.
Should have labeled "Duck Hunt Trade Ideas"
