#2305615 Throw the bank at RFA Shea Weber?

Posted by sleepwalker on 06 June 2012 - 12:52 PM

The really funny thing is, Burt commited the worst cheap shot in hockey history

No he didn't. Not even top 100.

Now, the aftermath of the cheap shot and ensuing pile up had some of the worst RESULTS in hockey, yes, but the shot itself was far from being the worst cheap shot in hockey history.

#2305599 Alexander Radulov.

that dude is a piece of s***

Agreed 100%

Its also bulls*** that they were allowed to bring him in to try to help their Cup run. You can guarantee that loophole is going to be slammed shut during the next CBA.

Hopefully having all their names and locations publically published like this for all to see, in an area, and entire region, that absolutely loves the late 90s Wings and the old grind line, will be enough encouragement for them to knock that s*** off and leave Mac and his wife alone.

Wow.

I have not been so disappointed in the Wings in many years. What a sad exit. This is worse than the loss to the Oilers about 5 years ago. f***.....

(I'm trying hard to keep myself from just spouting off about the Wings, but damn, its really hard after these past several months to keep my tongue from unleashing some s*** I might regret saying about the team I love)

That'd probably be a bit more inspring if he didn't have to look down at his notes after every line to remember what the next line is, lol.

The main one being that they showcase the world's most boring sport Posted Image

I'm not a basketball fan, but no way is basketball more boring than baseball. I would rather watch golf than baseball, lol.

Decent scrap. Good message though.

Agree and disagree.

It definitely sent a good message and set the tone and hyped up the team. That said, it was far from a "decent scrap". It was a pretty lame scrap, if you could even call something like that a scrap.

Reffing is getting questionable again.

And how the f*** is the Radulov ***** fest not an unsportsmanlike penalty? Seriously. He was in the refs face for like 10-15 seconds straight bitching and cursing him. I have rarely ever seen that not be a penalty before.

Thank you. Pardon the language, but I'm really getting sick of thatf****** s***. Does everything people don't like have to be compared to Hitler and/or the Nazis? Get some newf****** analogies.

Who are you, the thread Gestapo? Quit being such a forum Hitler.

#2278891 Sabres` Tragicomedy Continues

Posted by sleepwalker on 06 April 2012 - 02:17 PM

Yea, 21 straight playoff appearances and 4 cups in the last 15 years.

Look at how much of a tragicomedy we have become.

Wow, your reading comprehension is really good!

A player reaching out into the field of play from the bench is a big deal. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it in all my years of watching hockey, certainly with no penalty called.

I'm right there with you, but according to Jolly, we must just be idiots or blind or not watch as much hockey as we claim, because according to him plays exactly like that happen "all the time". In fact, they happen so often, that he made sure to put ALL THE TIME in all caps for emphasis.

#2277235 Milbury slams Blysma and Crosby

Posted by sleepwalker on 03 April 2012 - 05:23 PM

I never said it was only Crosby, I was addressing a whole group of young players who have this air of entitlement, like they have special rules that apply only to them. And I hate to say this but, it seems they are right.

Not to get off topic, but I don't even fully blame these young players, its beyond that, its the entire generation and the way they've been brought up. It seems anyone under the age of about 35 or so these days is part of what has been referred to as the "entitlement generation" and bases their philosophy and attitude on the "I am owed the world on a platter" type mentality.

#2277220 Milbury slams Blysma and Crosby

Posted by sleepwalker on 03 April 2012 - 03:20 PM

And, predictably, Milbury pusses out while Uncle Gary makes him apologize to his precious baby boy and his crying fans. Ugh. There goes that little, tiny shred of respect I had gained for Milbury.

http://sports.yahoo....-163552336.html

Haha! Hilarious.

Little doggie Milbury runs back to his crate crying with his tail between his legs the second master Bettman scolds him. And he was just calling someone else a punk? Lol, thats rich!

(even though as we all agree that Crosby does act like a spoiled little punk)

#2276240 Clarifying Doomsday 2012

Posted by sleepwalker on 31 March 2012 - 07:32 PM

I wouldn't worry too much about the increasing sale in firearms. The majority of people who are contributing to the increase are just people who are worried about the government cracking down on the 2nd Amendment.

Thats obviously a pretty big part of it, we are experiencing kind of a "perfect storm" if you will this year. Firearm sales spike every year around spring and through the summer. The reason for the MUCH bigger spike than usual is due to the three main parts of the "perfect storm" coming together. You have the 2012 doomsday people. On top of that its an election year, with an extremely anti-gun adminitration possibly getting a second term in office. On top of that, you have an early spring this year, so the spring/summer spike started a couple months earlier than usual this year.
