They're certainly buffoons, and I'm listening just to see how ridiculous they get, but this analysis of what Milbury actually said isn't exactly accurate. He didn't seem pleased with the call at all, said something like it or not, apparently that's today's NHL, in my day, that would've just been a good defensive play. I don't like defending the guy, but I didn't get the impression at all that he was really pleased with that call.
Milbury is one of the Bruins that, in the 70s, went up in to the crowd and fought the fans. He also signed DiPietro to the stupid contract when he was the GM of the Islanders.
It's best just to automatically disregard anything Milbury says.

I know that I don't want to be the first guy to say it but dan O'Halloran is probably one of the worst refs for the Wings. Every time we get a big game, we seem to draw him as the ref and do even more poorly than normal and get weak penalty calls.
That's not to say that the neutral zone, and down-low defense hasn't been horrid because it has. Just doesn't help.

Players don't sign because they don't like Mr. Babcock's toughness as a coach?
I don't think that Babcock's toughness is a problem. Wasn't Scotty just as hard on his players and look at the talent we got on the 2002 championship team.
Honestly, I'm glad we didn't get Suter or Parise but am afraid that, by the time the trade deadline comes, we'll be too far back in the division and conference to make it to the playoffs for a 23rd straight year.
In 3 to 5 years, Cliff Fletcher will be out and the Wild will be stuck with overpaid and underperforming players.
