Per @EliasSports: @Avalanche Semyon Varlamov is 14-3-3 in 20 career regular-season GP when making 40 or more saves.
So, ipso facto, if the Wings, or whomever take like only TEN shots on goal, this guy is a statistical sieve. Don't shoot on net most of the time, just pass it back and forth or play the board game for no good reason = WIN!
It makes sense. If he makes 40+ saves in a game, he's giving his team a good chance to win.
I bet most goalies share a similar win percent in 40+ save games
