#2647654 Miller Out With Lower Body Injury

Let's just hope Drew enjoys a swift and complete recovery. He's probably chilling out listening to a Red Hot Chili Peppers song like "Under the Bridge"

Coincidence that the one game Miller was back, the PK was perfect?

Epic GDT graphic, Mabus! Nice touch with the retired jersey numbers in the UPC. If the Wings play as awesome as your graphic is, it is going to be a blowout!

Let's Go Wings!

Using season search parameters of:
A) As of Game 42 and
B) A Game Differential (Wins minus Losses) of +8 or greater, which accounts for 34 seasons...
This is the first season in Club History with a minus Goals Differential: -3.

It's great to see our stats master back! It is good to see you post in again, hope all has been well.

:hysterical: at Getz's face.....and look at the Ducks fan under Larkin's armpit(s)! Still shots like this are awesome, you don't see this stuff live!

That is a great surrender cobra on the ducks fan. Getzlaf looks like he is either about to do a Sling Blade impression or an impression of Shemp Howard of the Three Stooges.

The team is about where I thought they would be, though not where I hoped (what can I say, I am a greedy bastich who wants the Wings to tear through the rest of the league like a buzzsaw). We have some declines showing from some vets as has been noted. I think the free agent signings have been a plus. As they get more acclimated to the team and everyone gets used to Blashill the chemistry will only improve.

Mrazek is so far rounding out into what we hoped he would be. Howard needs to get out of his funk. Larkin is going to be something special, and I look forward to seeing him blossom.

I am surprised our offensive output is as low as it is, and the PP is an area of concern. Mrazek has a few undeserved losses due to lack of goal support. I also concur with the need for help on the blue line, but trading DeKeyser is not the answer. The number of blown third period leads is also problematic.

I am looking forward to a 25th straight playoff run. Call me way too optimistic, but if they are healthy and get hot, they could do some damage, IMHO. The ROW tiebreaker is going to be a big factor this season, I think.

I see Tatar broke his dry spell. A good sign. Maybe Harry Potter gave him a new stick. ;)

I am DVRing this one, my best friend kidnapped me to go to a reading session for the grad program he went through for his MFA. Rocking my old school Konstantinov jersey though. I will have the thread open on the wifi, but I don't know how much I will be able to post. I am semi hiding in the back of the coffee shop section.

Let's Go Wings!

Take advantage of the BOS and MTL losses, get the 2 points and another ROW. (I wouldn't complain about OT since the extra point goes to the other conference, but I would prefer not to go to the shootout. shootout since I have a feeling the ROW tiebreaker is going to be a factor at season's end.

I'd like to see Pavel embarrass Perry again, though preferably by burning him with a sick move then a goal rather than by winning another fight with him. Larkin lighting the lamp a couple of times, and Kronwall drilling someone cleanly. Last game the PK trended in the right direction (coincidence that Miller came back? I think not.). Time for the PP to start converting.

No collapses please!!!!  Get the lead and keep it!

GO WINGS!!!

This. A couple of insurance goals would help this. Give Mrazek some goal support.

Faceoff outside the zone a good thing.
How is that icing, it went right through a Devils player?

Mrazek with a shutout. Very well deserved. Congrats to him and to Larkin with a sweet goal and Richards with an awesome assist.

I believe birthday butt pats are in order? Keep it civilized, kids.

Some nice offensive pressure after Mrazek stands tall. Win this faceoff and pin them deep and get the insurance marker.

Finally a PP. they had better convert it since the even up call is coming.

Some decent o-zone presence early in the 3rd. Let's get Petr some more run support!

Again a 1 goal game.  I hope we can extend the lead

Fixed that for you. :)

NJ feed just showed a nice replay, said the Devils D were in good position, Richards' pass was just that good. Larkin owned Schneider with his deke.

I just want to take a moment to thank those who get to actually watch the Griffins and post the updates for those of us who don't have the opportunity to do so.
