Exactly. They look damn good today. I wonder if they heard the Edzo whining last time around and enjoyed it so much they're out to give him a real conniption fit.

If they play like this for 60 every night, they're going to be unstoppable, as the other poster said. Great start to the game. They just need to finish them.

Montador did hit him first but I don't think he was expecting a punch to the head. All in all I hope there's no riff raff for the Wings sake.

Of course Montador wasn't expecting a punch of any sort, he mauled a Red Wing, and a "soft euro" to boot, lol. Good on Mule for standing up for himself.

Great effort by Fil to get it back around front, and looked like he got th last piece of it. Olczyk is unbelieveable, just when you think he can't be any worse of a homer, he pushes the envelope further. He and Hasenfrantz can both sit and spin on a barbed double donger.

Wings have been in the exact same position recently enough for me to not open my mouth about this.

Very good point. Don't want that bad karma. I vividly remember the Wings fielding an on-ice roster that was below the salary floor due to mass injuries.

No matter how good the back up is you can't sit him 20 games and then expect him to come in and play top notch. It's about the team's confidence in him as well and they need to play in front of him a little more consistently for that to happen.

This is true. In one regard this could be perfect timing to get him in. It may be that the 2nd night of a back to back, the Wings are likely to get the short end of the stick or against a team like the Hawks, Conks is likely to get shelled, so they can bring him back against the Isles to get his confidence and the teams' up. If he helps steal one, so much the better in all cases.
