Wow, I hope the Wings do better than this anthem singer. Just about every one of my students in my senior high chorus and most of my jr high students would blow her away. Tension induced vibrato coupled with an almost complete lack of intonation is NOT a good thing.
The good old days of Hasek and Osgood, those were some fun threads to read through. I'm sure Mrazek/Howard won't head in that direction though, we're all older and more mature
Those wars were epic, and left quite the Legace behind for us all to remember.
Monsters not signed after this season...
He's a free agent.
Just for the record.
I wonder how many people forget this, and also that Mrazek is on a one way contract next year. Let Monster stick around for depth, he has been a good soldier for the Wings when healthy. If he wants to go elsewhere, then honor that. In any case, I don't see him back with the organization next year at the NHL level.
It's been a while since there was some Hampus Melen updates, so it's good to see.
As far as well thought-out walls of text, I enjoy reading them. I'd post more, but usually many of the points I'd make are already made and I don't like to be too redundant, especially if the first post is well made. I tend to go for the shorter run and gun posts, especially during GDT's, but if someone asks for detail since they can't get a game feed, I try to help since I'm in that situation more than I'd like. As far as the weak attempts at humor, that can't be helped.
Regarding the draft picks and our prospects, I defer to those who have the time to look into them and give decent info. I don't like to blindly guess based on size and stats. Mantha was the first pre-draft prospect I was pumped for, mostly due to info provided here by knowledgeable posters. To those who provide that info, thanks again.
As far as piling on players, I like to think I call them out when it is deserved, but also give props when deserved. I remember ripping Howard early on, but he became much better. KFQ is another.
Jason f****** Williams, on the other hand.....
For this draft, I think I'm going to keep trusting what Hakan Andersson suggests from Europe (how awesome has he been as a scout for so long?) and what Kenny picks. In terms of what we've been able to put on the ice relative to our poor drafting position, the Wings have done a great job to maintain the on-ice success.
