#2634550 10/31 GDT: Detroit Red Wings at Ottawa Senators

That would have been an amazing thing to see.
I'd be the guy chanting probie egging it on.
Ha.

There were a couple guys egging me on.... And afterwards one said to the guy, dude, if you had any clue about hockey, you'd know better than to mess with Probie. I could have seen you wearing a Kocur jersey egging it on.

When you don't know how to have a conversation without having a superiority complex, you don't generally get the benefit of doubt.
By the way I have nothing against you, I don't dislike you, and I like that you're passionate about the wings.
I just don't like the way you talk to people on here.

Too many folks who've only come on to slag the team when they lose and not give credit where it's due when they do well the last couple of years, it has gotten old.

Stupid play in the D zone leads to a goal against. I completely agree there are defensive problems, that need to be fixed, but there have been some sorely needed positives tonight as well.

Heh, Jason Momoa was good in the series, though I don't think I liked him for the same reasons you were coughing over, o khaleesi of butt-pats.

Mrazek stood tall after Goose had a bad giveaway out front.

I am NOT giving out candy every game for the rest of the season.

Sens goon it up. Good on Larkin standing up for himself to Pageau. Chaisson got about 7 cross checks in on Ericsson.

I know.
Ha.
I'm watching the 3rd, so If they keep it up then I'll just watch the end, I guess I can live with that.
I'll try it next game, and if it works, I'll be absent in gdts for the first two periods as well. Ha

Don't skip the GDT's, dude, we like having you around!

Keep it going guys, run it up. This will hopefully build some confidence going forward.

Is it just me or is Sheahan looking very tentative?

McCormick tripped on the blue line, surprised they didn't call the Wing by him with his back turned to him for the trip.

Time for a PP goal for BoS's Bunghole. Cue Blasholio.

I have to head out to a haunted house a student is putting on (my 1st chair bass I from districts this year and an all-state alternate last year). Here's hoping I come home to butt pats celebrating a monstrous ass-kicking of the Sens! Let's Go Wings!

#2633165 10/24 GDT : Red Wings 3 at Canucks 2 (OT)

Great to see the boys pull it out in OT. I was just way too tired when I got back (went out for a couple drinks after the show last night and had to get up to play a church service this AM). Looking forward to seeing the DVR of the game.

From reading the thread, seems like Mrazek wore the backpack to carry the team and keep it close, Z tried all game, and the switch was flipped for the third and OT. Mrazek with the assist on the winner was too fitting.

How did the D look with the injuries? I assume Ericsson was poor again, but how did Q, Smith, Kindl, and Marchenko look? Thanks in advance for any details.

Side note: Jimmyemeryhunter, when you get that nacho craving, here's a recipe to try: take nacho cheese Doritos, pit some Frito Lay jalapeño cheddar dip on each one, cover with shredded pepper jack cheese. Do as many layers as you wish, then nuke for 90 seconds. It's so bad for you and may sound nasty, but it is so good. (I was way skeptical until I tried it)

#2632053 10/21 GDT : Red Wings at Edmonton Oilers, 9:30 EST

I have a rehearsal for a production of Grease tonight so I will miss the first period. It's my first show up in Binghamton, but the director was apparently impressed with my playing (he changed keys on three of the songs and told me when I got there and I just nailed it on the fly). The best part is the guy is involved with a LOT of theater stuff and he got me a serious in for the professional theaters in the area so it looks like I may get some pit gigs for equity productions moving forward. Here's hoping the Wings kick that much ass tonight against the Oilers (even if it would be a double digit blowout).

I have a hunch that Tatar gets on track with his scoring, Larkin steps up to make a decisive statement of his intent to compete for the Calder, and Zetterberg continues to be awesome.

Let's Go Wings!

(And, as usual, Killer GDT graphic as usual!!!!)

#2631840 I think this might be finally it for the Mule, Sadly

I just hope Franzen is able to overcome the symptoms he is facing right now and is able to lead a healthy life with his family. While I think a healthy Franzen is a big asset for the Wings, if he hangs it up, I wish him the best and thank him for his efforts as a Wing. He was in beast mode in 08. I hope he LTIR's it for his long term health, but I don't have the right to tell him what to do.

Way to go, Larkin! He's underage, so I'll drink this dram myself and pour another. Come on guys, make me hungover for tomorrow. I have to judge Bass II's tomorrow, but I'm going to do a dram a goal tonight. Let's Go Wings!

It seems Ward is playing luckier than good, but his D isn't letting our guys get to the rebounds....

Carolina Hurferees

I'm one of the first to call out a crap call, but Ericsson was guilty as heck on that call.

Plenty of time to get that goal back. Come out hard in the 2nd, boys. Let's Go Wings!
