I think it would be tough to get rid of Howard and have a legitimate backup mid season. I'm all for turning the keys over to Mrazek but I don't want to minimize the return on Howard by having another goalie included on the deal. Despite the many frustrations I've had with Jimmy over the years I still believe he's an above average goalie that could net a good return.
No, I don't think they're playing well. But firing a coach 10 games into his NHL career seems rash. Back to the point I was making, he hasn't had one of the best players on the team and several key players have already missed time due to injury.
It wouldn't be fair to fire a guy before he's given a chance to prove himself with the full roster.
