After watching hockey evolve for over 50 years, I'm disgusted with where the game is going. The league is becoming a joke. Intentionally grabbing a players head and smashing it into the glass, no problem. Open ice hits= suspension. I'm sick of the inconsistency.

I started rooting for the Wings because they were the team that won the Stanley Cup the first year I started watching hockey. If that makes me a bandwaggoner, so be it. Oh yeah the Cup I saw them win was in 1955 so I guess that makes me a Connestoga waggoner. No matter how bad the posters of today think they are, they are by FAR better than the dead wings era.

Problem with this team, and it's fanbase, IMO, is too much success. We've come to expect it. If we stumble a bit, we fans are looking to immediately dump the vets and bring in the young fresh blood. If we had that happen and they make their rookie mistakes that put the team in the same position win/loss wise, then we'd be calling for trades to get vets for "leadership". Kind of a good position to be in, either way.

I think that goal might be our season.  It just doesn't seem like we want to win as bad as them.  I don't think we win tonight, and I don't think we beat them in seven.  We better tank for sixth.

Wow, a hattrick of thinks. Too bad you don't get paid for them.

How is it possible for Homer's English to be so bad considering he's been in the U.S. for pretty close to half his life?

Haven't you noticed that everytime you post negative comments about the team is when you get negged? Correlation maybe???

Still think this game is lost boys?

Last time I checked the NHL is a business, the premise of a business is to satisfy the customer, so perhaps a good idea would be to  reassure the customer that the faults in the product are going to be remedied not stay the status quo.

The NHL could'nt care less what you think or like, unless you are a Crosby fan.

How about not fighting and just allow the opposing player to beat you up so you get a 5 minute powerplay?

Two things, first, do you have any clue what the game of hockey and it's rules are? Second, I can't help but noticce you are a glass half full kind of guy. Suggestion, get a smallerf****** glass!

I think it's great that we have so many Smith lovers out there. When he does get called up, I hope to hell he plays flawlessly because I hate to see the love quickly transform to hate.

I like a good fight as well as any of you but, since when does one have to win the fight in order to win the game????
