#2260550 NHL TRADING RULES

Posted by puckbags on 22 February 2012 - 09:30 AM

I love how people get offended for using CAPS, who gives a s*** if someone wants to type in big letters..they aren't actually yelling in your ear. REAL WORLD PROBLEMS CLEARLY !

#2260547 Alright, time to call Nyquist up

Posted by puckbags on 22 February 2012 - 09:14 AM

Realistically?

This.......

Franzen - Datsyuk - Bertuzzi
Filpulla - Zetterberg - Hudler
Abdlekader - Helm - Miller
Cleary - Pahlsson/Gaustad - Homer

is closer to what youíll see.

Realistically? For it to be realistic don't the guys in bold have to actually be on the team?

Right.

11 goals, 27 points. one each less than Bert. plus Cleary plays on the PK. And tonight coming back after a knee injury.

He may not be having a career year, but he's hardly s***.

I don't get the hate either, clearly not his best season but he's still on pace for 15-20 goals, what were we expecting from him? I thought he showed some good strides a couple of times last night..lets be honest , no one was good last night except for Howard.

This road record is worrisome. I hope they can turn it around on the home stretch to the playoffs.

Or just get home ice advantage for the whole playoffs and win every game at home. ;)

Based on this game, without Pav this entire team is 3rd line at best...

Haha true, not a great effort, I'm pretty sure my out of shape ass could scorer a goal on Pav's line, hell look at Homers skill base he made a career out of it :P

#2259695 Datsyuk out at least 2 weeks

Better now then later, apparently they found chunks of dangle in his knee.

"...touchstone..."
I don't think so; it's just 1/82 of the schedule.

I agree. You have to bring yourself down to Canucks fan mentality. They have never won anything so they have to find something to treat as their Stanley Cup.

I didnt get to watch a second of the game tonight ( On my way to Vegas) but I saw that Dats was the first star with 0 pts, 0 shots, and +/- 0. It doesn't surprise me but can someone explain to me how good he was out there tonight

Babcock could use this game to send a message. put z, ericsson, and anyone else who has been along for the ride this season on the bench. my guess is he does nothing but stare

Yea because that is exactly how this team has operated during the last 20 years of playoff performances, stanley cups, presidents trophies..etc.... Lets start alienating guys. Good plan. We are 1st overall at the break (some teams have games in hand). Is there some place we would rather be then 1st? I'm confused.

#2248923 Time for my Cleary update.

Posted by puckbags on 24 January 2012 - 09:33 AM

He's going to score 15-20 goals playing on the 3rd line essentially the whole year and he's worthless? The contract may be a little inflated but what do you expect for production out of a 3rd line guy? Add the fact that he's dependable and a good teammate and I'm pretty sure that he's not getting traded.

I dont know about the rest of you but I'll take composure, team toughness, push back and PP goals all day long over the dumb bull s*** that cost the Blues the game tonight.

We need to get a real fighter on this team.

So we can get stupid instigator penalties that may cost us a goal or a win in a tight race? Good plan. Stuart dropped the gloves..you don't have to win a fight to show that you aren't backing down.

Us healthy, them healthy, 7 game series, I like our chances, we are deeper everywhere and we have the better goalie.

#2243476 Marchand Suspended 5 games

Cheap shot in my opinion. Doesn't look like Salo is even looking to throw a big hit, much less a dirty one.

This is why discipline has to come from the league. You can't just assume someone is going to throw a dirty hit, and use that assumption to justify a dirty preemptive strike. Vigilante justice never works, and only causes more injuries and injuries to innocent people.

Marchand absolutely should be suspended. If I remember correctly, he has a history of going for the knees too. 2-5 games I'd say, depending on his repeat status.

Why doesn't Marchand take a page out of Datsyuk's book and just match Salo shoulder for shoulder to gain an advantage? I've seen Dats do it a million times against bigger or smaller guys. It's a clean and effective way of gaining position on a similar play. I don't want hitting out of the game but hits like this are a joke, its contact made below the waist with an attempt to send a guy landing on his head.

This game is over. This is the exact same team that has folded when the going gets tough for how many years now?

Huh?

I love it when a guy just blurts out some man love for a guy but has no reasoning to back it up.
