#2461102 12/4 GDT : Flyers 6 at Red Wings 3

So soon we forget the 29 save shutout posted by Howard last time out.

The mission of a large majority on here is to just be miserable about everything.  When we win they don't say anything.  but when we lose they have a million things to say............................but oh wait when we start winning again they pretend they were on the bus the whole time.

 Excuse me?  Name calling?

I think Matt should start dispensing lithium prescriptions with each user name - you are seriously some bi-polar sons of *******.

Yes, they blew a 2-goal lead.  Yes, they are getting roughed up.  It's not the first time, it won't be the last, and we're only ONE THIRD of the way through the season.  It's a disappointment and hopefully a learning experience for the cast and crew of the Wings organization.  Let's start the lynch mob a little later in the season, okay?

It is amazing and sometimes pretty embarassing...I don't know how many hundreds of times i've seen our fans talk s*** about how terrible other teams fans are.  They should look in the mirror.

Quincey on the ice again...

lets see, Hartnell punches our guy, then they score 4 straight...Tootoo anyone?

I waive Cleary tonight, I don't care about his cap hit. I also waive Q. If I am gonna lose, I'd rather lose with my kids...

The ole LGW go to soloution...JUST WAIVE EVERYONE...sell the arena, send Z and D to the Panthers for some lawn chairs and call it a day.

#2458397 CBC partners with Rogers in landmark NHL rights deal.

TSN clearly has the best analysts, panelists, insiders etc..no question about that.  There is no doubt in my mind and anyone else's that a bunch of these guys will be jumping ship.  What this means is more hockey for Canadian viewers.  TSN has 2 channels, TSN and TSN2 with some local broadcasting sprinkled in...Rogers has Sportsnet, Sportsnet1, Sportsnet 360 which they just bought from the score as well as regional broadcasts and they have vowed there will be no more blackouts which isn't a  big deal for myself but for other people it is.  The CBC is in trouble for sure....the station bleeds money and HNIC is the only thing keeping them semi alive.  If you live in Canada and you can name one good show on CBC besides HNIC you're a better man than I lol.  I don't care who broadcasts hockey, I just hope they do it right.  It's gamecenter for me for Wing's games anyways.

Jimmy Howard is a 6 million Dollar goalie wow a waste of money five more years of this crap

He is ? Just because he's not playing that well and you're being irrational you can't just round his cap number up to whatever makes you feel good.

1. Worst reffed game I've seen in a long time..glad I don't have time to watch every second of every game anymore..my blood pressure would be through the roof with that kind of officiating.

2. Our 5 on 3 PP is so easy to defend without a right handed shot...If we have to put Sammy on the 5 on 3 just to keep teams honest then do it.

3. Excited to see Gus and Tatar get a chance and hopefully it lasts this time..both are NHL ready top 6/9 players.

2 Things:

1. If you don't want to play good enough to win in reg then we better find someone who can score in a shootout.  Tatar?   Helm? Is Kocur around? Terrible

2. When our d decide to play like they did down the stretch and in the playoffs last year this team will improve instantly.  We have made it so difficult to get out of our own end its frustrating..we don't have Lidstrom's and Rafalski's back there to finesse the puck out of our end anymore...get it out easy and go from there.  We pass the puck backwards in our own end 4 times and then turn it over...teams know this and just pressure the s*** out of us.

As bad as we've been and we've been bad lately these points will be important down the road.

Trade Cleary, Howard and a pick for Carey Price.

Reached an all new level of absurdness, Howard isn't even playing tonight and he's getting traded there is no way that the Habs make that trade.

#2452145 An honest question about Nyquist

Posted by puckbags on 08 November 2013 - 01:12 PM

I'd be shocked if he didn't.  Remember Ericsson?  Babcock said that he was the best player he had sent down.  They had to because he could still clear waivers.  It took Smith forever to get up here too.

Once the waiver thingie is gone, Nyquist will be up with us.  If not then, he most certainly will be for the playoffs.  If someone sustains a season-ending injury before that (hopefully not, just throwing out the thought since it is possible), he will be up before that.

<off to do anti-jinx stuff>

This exactly, the reason Gus is in GR isn't because he isnt good enough to play on this team..its strictly business...bad decisions are made and so are good ones...some bad ones have been made recently that are preventing Gus from being up here full time...that's all it is..he will be up for good at some point.

We turned it over 100 times against Calgary and were lucky to get out of there with a win, Turned it over I think 3 times againt the Canucks and outplayed them the whole game, Didnt turn it over too much against the Oilers and crushed them and we have turned it over 400 times tonight and we stink...seems pretty simple..take care of the god damn puck. Wow

I don't know why anyone is suprised with our play this year..we are a very simliar team to last year.  We will have 4 game winning streaks..we will have 4 game losing streaks..until we get faster ( Gus and Tatar ) this is the way it will be..we are a good team that will have to get hot at the right time of year again.

Obviously Dats and Z have been fantastic so far but Danny D has been great on the back end.  The less I have to say his name the better...very few mistakes and when he does make one its in the right spots on the ice.

I think we should get used to a lot of this, we are essentially the same team we iced in the regular season last yet.  Filp and Weiss might as well be the same guy and Alfie and Brunner might as well be the same guy which leaves us with the Cleary's, Bert's and Franzen's floating around the ice because they are too slow..until this team gets Gus and Tatar playing full time or makes a trade to get some speed we are a 5th-8th seed in this conference.  I hope they prove me wrong as they usually do but I expect a lot of nights like this with this lineup.
